He forced volunteers to hold their breath and then performed psychological tests using standard IQ test patterns. Just a couple of minutes without breathing caused the IQ tests show results in the level of idiotism, but the condititon was reversible. It was remarkable that longer periods without breathing almost invariably led to death by suffocation, at least the symptoms were practically indistinguishable, says Dr. Quackenbush. He has already applied for more funding to further study this interesting behaviour.

	I once babysat a kid who got what he wanted by holding his breath. This worked on his parents but not on me because I know you just pass out. All I had to do is make sure he didn't hit his head. That kid really needed to learn that he can't just have everything he wants. You weren't in the wrong there. I thought it was fairly obvious that cutting off oxygen to the brain was bad? For those that don't know, a quack (doctor) is a fraud, faker, incompetent (doctor). BTW: My record for holding my breath was about 5 minutes (sitting still mostly). 	It's obvious that holding your breath can lead to brain damage. It cuts off the oxygen to your heart so your heart rate slows leading to less blood and oxygen going to your brain.
