Today, when I was walking home from work, I heard someone in the woods, which isn't odd for these parts, as there's creatures everywhere...BUT! Out of no where a bear ran out into the street! Less than 10 feet from me! Not the first time I've been that close to a bear, mind you, but every other time, I've had a gun. Needless to say, it scared me a bit. So I dropped my cigarette, stepped on it and stood still. The bear just walked away. *whew* Catastrophe avoided.

Anyway, anyone else have interesting stories like this?

lol. Yes. Like I said, it's not weird that I saw the bear. It just scared me because I didn't have a gun on me. Usually I do when I am near bears.

Did it attack you?

Once when I was wearing a bear costume I ran out onto the street, this kid dropped his cigarette, stood on it, and then pissed himself. That was the first time I ever came from laughing too hard.

So like first time you had an unexpected encounter with an animal? The only ones that come to mind are snakes. The first time I was walking by the creek where my Grandma lives (out in the country) and stepped on a snake. I knew I had stepped on something squishy as I felt it go down a little bit. The snake struck, but missed surprisingly, I guess just doing it as a reflex. That very same day (this was Easter btw, like years ago), we were hunting eggs. There was a rather large pile of rocks, and I thought that there might be some hidden in there. I pulled a few rocks, away, and then as I was reaching for another rock, it fell all by itself. To my surprise, a rather large Scarlet King Snake was moving throughout the pile, and I had just seen it's head disappear. If I had been any quicker in pulling the rocks away, the snake might've struck me.

Never had any scary encounters with other animals though.

I saw a mouse run under my fridge once. I was genuinely scared for my life. It had 3 inch tusks and had a vicious look in it's eye, not dissimilar to that of a fat child who has been denied a glazed donut.

When I was staying in canada in a little wooden shack with old western style swing doors and I saw a bear...Frightened the sperms right out me testes that did. I kept him at bay by throwing MnM after MnM at him.

They were peanut butter ones too!

There are a bunch of woods around here, but I have never seen any strange animals before. It might have to do with the fact that I stay inside a lot. =/

well, one time I had a bad encounter with a snake......
I was in the woods and I got to a swampy part of it.
I had a stick in my hand, and the snake crawled up it.
I pissed myself , dropped the stick , and made some distance between me and the snake .
in fear , I grapped another stick and started beating the living shit out of the snake .
I was 6 at the time .
I looked up (when i was 8) what kind of snake it was.
I pissed myself again:_dumbfounded: .
It was a copper head .
Good thing I killed it .
