In about 10-15 years we may have a cure for aids. What do you guys think, is it possible?

Tbh, I have had a cure for years. Cull all of the carriers, and don't have sex with monkeys. Common sense tbh.

I doubt it will happen within that timeframe, but eventually...

The key word here is resistant. This means that those with the genetic mutation are less likely to get HIV, but it doesn't guarantee their safety. One thing people seem to forget is that the HIV virus mutates as well to adapt to its environment. It could very easily overcome the resistance provided by Delta 32.

All well and good, but does anyone so much as try looking to cute the common cold?
But I guess if we do end up curing aids, it will be a medical breakthrough. If they manage to cue cancer, there will be a dramatic decrease in the annual death rate.

It does seem that the publicity AIDs got during the late 90's/early 00's has dropped off quite a bit. As much as it kills me to quote South Park for something serious like this, "It's all about cancer now." Don't get me wrong, this amazing, and I do hope that they can replicate the conditions to evetually find a cure, but this is something the world would have jumped at four years ago, and it's just going to go under the radar.
