Petition to Stop Dog Murder

Ok guys, yeah I know online petitions don't work and I know that most of you could give a flying rat's ass and this will probably deteriorate into spam and stupid comments, but if I can get even a handful of you to sign this, I would be grateful. If it wasn't important to me, I wouldn't come here, but as it's the busiest forum, I am hoping for a little compassion from you all.

In the 2007, the 'artist' Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, he tied him to a rope in an art gallery, starving him to death.



For several days, the 'artist' and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful 'masterpiece' based on the dog's agony, until eventually he died.

But this is not all... the prestigious Visual Arts Biennial of Central America decided that the 'installation' was actually art, so that Guillermo Vargas Habacuc has been invited to repeat his cruel action for the biennial of 2008.

I know lots of us have pets that we love. What if your pet got lost and some sicko tied him up in an art gallery to 'expose' the plight of homeless animals? I don't think it's art and honestly think he should go to jail. I really don't want him to be able to re-create this, that is for damn sure!

Reminds me of the so-called "artist" Marco Evaristti and his goldfish blender. Ugh. Go back to painting stupid pictures.

I think because it's in South America it's not as easy for the activists to get involved. If it was in the US you can bet your sweet bippy PETA would be there stopping it. Plus there are laws in place to protect animals in the US, I'm not exactly sure what the laws are there.

You would think, but instead people went to the gallery and stood there and watched it die. It actually makes me sick to my stomach. I think they are just as guilty as the artist is, frankly.
