Challenge ideas

So this playthrough I decided to create an additional challenge. I figured that I would beat each class with a different monster class. Obviously this only takes me through the SNT but it's still entertaining. So far, the F class battle was the roughest because I couldn't breed anything and didn't have a healer. There were also only two available monsters to use for the first two class battles.

G Class (SLIME): Slib, Hale
F Class (PLANT): Stubsuck, Beanman
E Class (BUG): Stagbug, Stagbug, ArmyAnt

The battles are getting much easier now that I can breed monsters and finally have access to the well gate, and soon to metalman's gate. I am currently working on training:

D Class (BEAST): Unicorn (+6), Grizzly (+6), Goategon (+8)

Now that I'm into some mainstream monsters (at least more so than the bugs) I might try to add difficulty a little bit by forcing myself to roll each monster into the next. For instance:

C Class (BIRD): Grizzly->Phoenix, Goategon->Blizzardy, Unicorn->Whipbird or Zapbird, haven't decided yet.

Anyway, I'll run through the rest of the classes for the other tourneys as well, (B) ZOMBIES, (A) MATERIALS, (S) DEVILS, (SNT) DRAGONS, probably in that order due to leveling difficulties.

Anyone have any other cool challenge ideas?

Yeah I read about a no breeding challenge. I thought that would be miserable and am not very interested in that one.

I like solo challenges in other games though so that might be a possibility. You decided to play through with Slib? If I did a solo challenge it would probably need some rule like you can only have one monster in your party at a time...I would need to breed with the farm or the NPCs for better stuff eventually. Seems like slib would cap out pretty quickly.

Hardcore would also be insanely hard for solo. All it would take is a hit from those stupid treeslimes or whatever...1 damage and paralyzed.
