I'm not sure, he's a free agent and they have Cato, Collier, and now Ming so there might not be room for him. Time will tell FA's can't sign a new deal till the 15th.

Hey longhornlinks i like what you have done. is there any sytem that you use or is it of the top of your head. I too have created the rookies and would love to colaborate with you. I have done a lot of research and implement a quite sucessful formula that works with the ratings of the players form march madness 2002. this way you kinda get randome ratings.

I just looked at their scouting reports and went from what the scouts said were their strengths and weaknesses. I have seen most of the college picks play so I knew how they played but for the international players I mostly went by what the scouts said.

One of my boy's came up with this format I haven't tried it but it sounds good.
To determine a player's FG & 3PT rating, I take his CAREER average, round it off to two numbers & add 40. For example, player A's career FG average is .437. If the last digit is 5 or above I round it off to .44, or 44%. I take that 44, add 40 which gives player A an 84 FG rating. If the last digit is less than 5, then his FG% is 43, or an 83 rating. Same thing applies to 3 point shooting. There are exceptions - if a player shoots .538 in college, I'm not giving him a 94 FG rating as a rookie. I'll take it down several points until he proves to me he can shoot in the pros.

Free throw ratings are easy - I use the player's actual CAREER percentage. Player A shoots .786 - that gives him a FT rating of 79(because the last digit is 5 or above). Player B shoots .783 - he gets a 78 FT rating.

Rebounding:

Centers & Power Forwards - 80 and above
Small Forwards - 70 and above
Point & Shooting Guards - 50-69

There are exceptions. Jason Kidd is a PG, but he's a solid rebounder. I'd give him rating in the high 70's-low 80's.
