It was Kazuya but he was defeated by Jin so Kazuya didn't succeed in whatever he was going to do...

I don't think it would be a very good storyline for Kazuya to own the Zaibatsu Corp. because we would go from one pyscho dictator to another.

Anyway back to the subject, judging how the title of the 'Iron fist' tournament has stayed in the Mishima family and that Kazuya is supposed to be the star of the show, it's most likely he'll be the winner of the tournament. Jin would have probably beaten Kazuya later on, which would have made Kazuya host Tekken 5 wanting revenge or to be complete (he would still be missing the other part of the devil thing, Jin has it doesn't he?).

Also it would be cool if Lee Chaolan won it, I mean it would be a nice twist to the series, don't you think?

leave it to namco to come up with some crazy ending. anyway in every tournament the bad guys have won so i'm guessing kazuya had his way this time. i'm curious to see what bryan is going to look like the next Tekken (yoshimitsu's friend told him he would give him a new body, and put him to sleep for 1 year) Damn I was looking forward to Devil/Angel (never seen them). Maybe on Tekken 5.

Is tekken 1 and 2 any good? never played them.
Do they have any qualities that lack in the other games (i.e. tag,4)

No.
You would buy them just to know the history of Tekken.
The story behind the whole game.

i used to play Tekken 1 in the arcades back in europe. I would buy it just because it's the start of the Tekken games, and it's a very fun game in itself.

I'd be surprised if Kazuya did win but if Namco are going to pass on the torch from Heihachi to anyone then it would make sense for it to be Kazuya.

Why would you be suprised?
I think it makes sense.
He has the power and skills to do it.

Agreed, if anyone is going to receive the torch from Heihachi it would be Kazuya. It sort of like a movie, The son surpasses the father and takes over his business and the title of champion.
