Good point, but Kazuya is the default selected character in the character choice menu.

I doubt Steve(a new character) would be the winner. Hwoarang's ending shows more of a chance of him being the true winner.
he is a new character - but no hidden (secret) character. and remember the advertisement namco made for steve (like extra covers, steve or kazuya poster when you buy a game, tekken4 promotion with all 3 new chars but with steve in front line and bigger than the others) and namco throw a connection between the fighters steve, nina and his daddy (propably kazuya?).
so why all these publissity if steve not wins?

Another clue supporting the idea that Paul won Iron Fist 4 was the fact that he was the default number one on all of the record screens. That's usually a hint.
but isnt paul a little bit too uninteresting to win the tournament (sorry to all those who play paul)?

dunno, about paul winnig, i still stcik with kazuya winnin the tournament officailly, and then being led to the dojo where jin is and then have jins ending being the real one, it kinda leavs it the most open for tekken 5.

Realisticly tho most of the characters have no chance of winning the torny like panda/kuma/heihachi are exaples of people who wont win

I noticed yesterday that Paul isn't even in the games intro sequence.

The majority of the characters aren't in the opening sequence. It centers on Kazuya coming back, yet again, and--for some reason--displays some intersecting shots of the new characters. That's it.

re: Winner of iron fist 4?

Indeed.

If the team had an idea of who would win from the beginning, then they would have put the spotlight on that person from the start. Which they do with Kazuya (the winner IMO). Paul however does not have a dominant role in Tekken 4. Even his ending is pretty damn thin.

Yeah but who else would you make win the torny because the mashimas would probably just destroy the world and ending the storyline

re: Winner of iron fist 4?

If Kazuya won the tournament, it would kill the storyline.

But anyway, anything's possible.

Way back when I was still playing Tekken 2 in the arcades, I never expected that Heihachi would be the one to win the tournament. I thought it'd be either Jun or Kazuya.

In Tekken 4, the obvious possibilities are Kazuya, Heihachi, Jin, Paul or Steve winning the tournament.

re: Winner of iron fist 4?

I'm certain it was not a Mishima. Neither Kazuya, nor Jin even made it to the final round, due to Heihachi's meddling. And it wouldn't make any sense for Heihachi to win it--he's already the reigning champ! I stick by Paul. There was a lot of hints dropped to his victory throughout the game.

P.S.
Paul's epilogue was sad.

re: Winner of iron fist 4?

I still think Jin would win the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4. Kazuya is a likly winner, but that would end the storyline right there. It would also end the storyline if Heihachi won the tournament because it already says what happens after Jin and Kazuya are captured. I couldn't see Hwoarang winning the tournament, his ending seems too obvious. Of course there will be another Tekken, his just plain out said it. Paul could have won the tournament since in the last tournament, he was undefeated. But are you show he didn't walk away from the fight when he saw Heihachi in the white sumo thong. Jin's ending lives it completely open for another Tekken. Plus, the story revolves around the Mishimas. Name one Tekken game where a Mishima(or Jin Kazama) didn't win the King of Iron Fist.

re: Winner of iron fist 4?

Granted the winner of the other tekkens was either a Mashima or Jin but they could make things different and make someone else win the torny for a change

as for steve i dont think he has any chance of winning it as he doesnt fit into the storyline at all
