You can run it. I was unable to find any minimum requirements so it just uses a percentage of what you have to offer.

It only uses the internet to upload and downloaded the work unit. The whole time its folding, it just uses the processor. ------------------- quote Avalith

I'm not sure what the s/f is based off of. I think it has to do with the size of the work unit because others seem to be getting varied sizes of WUs and thus far I've only gotten 5000 with a consistent 21s/frame.

quote bobbyg2 That my friend is your computer being a bit slow in closing the windows start menu. Look at the line... where it finishes.. up the top. Look to the left, there should be a line there... it's only small and it's a bit of a curve. If you want more proof, just open your start menu, it'll fit the lines perfectly... To get rid of it.. just shut down your computer and turn it back on... let enough time for the monitor to switch off properlly before restart.. re: Folding @ Home |

Im wondering that the s/f speed is because the larger W/U seem to move quicker, where the smaller ones are a tad slower(I'm only on the 3rd one, cant say fo sho), and I think that might be due to the deadline for that W/U, which I think you can manipulate under the advanced tab in the configuration settings. I guess if you set it to standard, they might crank out, or if you set it to deadline-less, they might be more forgiving to cpu priorities, and fold on more flexible terms.-----I dunno----Im gonna mess around with it.

I was 4600/5000 and I started to install a new game(Blazing Angels). During that install the DX installer started to hit error after error, the game installer quit responding, FF encountered a problem and the whole thing ended in an nF4 BSOD after about 7 program errors...my first in months.
