	Log in to remove this sponsored message I recently formated c: HDD, and tried reinstalling Windows XP. I got an error message saying that windows couldn't find any hard drives on my pc... I tried using the F6 method with SATA drives floppy, but got another error, something about: "txtsetup.oem caused an unexpected error (512).... etc..." I realy don't know what to do as I am not familier with a pc's hardware, I am not that good with computers at all in Dos, are there any simple solutions for this problem?

	Don't know why I said "hard drives".. I only have one, and it is set up as master..

	It does... I mean, when windwos was installed everything worked perfectly (In windows), and the hardrive was recognized, but not in DOS... It seems as if the bios knows there is a hard drive conected, but doesn't know anything about it... It's realy strange..

	also, where exactly in the BIOS setup do I check if there is a hardrive, as I may be looking in the wrong place... As I said, i'm not very familiar with it...

	Well, you know how to get into it. Hold F2 or Del. Or maybe another key. Then it should be under devices. Or something like that. Just check the whole BIOS. Somewhere it will tell you what drives are connected. ------------------- I make games, check them out at http://www.unitedkingsstudios.com

	Well, I entered "standart CMOS features", and into the primary master hardrive (which was recognized), and used "auto detection" to get details on the hardrive... NOTHING... It's like the nothing is known about it... the details are blank... Is it supposed to be like that?

	Errr, no. On my PC it says it's size and stuff. Some hard-drives are faulty though and aren't recognised by the BIOS. They basicly are useless. Have you formatted it before? ------------------- I make games, check them out at http://www.unitedkingsstudios.com

	Not sure. But on eBay you can buy Hard-Drives that work but aren't detected by the BIOS so I assume so. ------------------- I make games, check them out at http://www.unitedkingsstudios.com
