	Log in to remove this sponsored message Hello, I need to build a computer that is capable of performing website design and development (related softwares like dream weaver, CMS), graphic design (adobe photoshop) and gaming with three LCD monitors (multi-display unit) and an external video card. I currently have an old one with a lenovo case and motherboard, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, 2 TB external HDD, Intel 3.20 Ghz processor which is running very slow in my computer. In fact it has difficulty supporting windows xp sp3. I think the motherboard can support two RAMS and an external video card. In case you want to know more I can provide it. I am a Kenyan and quite frankly do not know how much I should spend, what I should buy or what brands I should go for (for all the components of that computer). I also do not know whether to upgrade or build a new one all together. My budget is around $1500 (+ or - $500). Please advice. thanks Kim new build, computer

	I would say go ahead and build a new computer. Your processor sounds like an E8500 which is a Core 2 Duo that I recently retired. It wasn't too slow for me on Windows 7, but it is definitely getting long in the tooth now. Why do you need an external video card though? It would make more sense to just build it into the PC. ------------------- Check out the Android Forum!

	Thanks Nagare, Actually it's the built-in one that I want. Sorry, I am a novice in computers so I wouldn't know the difference. I probably think my processor isn't really the problem but my RAM is. But again you said "build a new one" so I think I will have to retire this one.

But again you said "build a new one" so I think I will have to retire this one. hey man, the graphics chip can come in 2 ways, an embedded gpu which you could call built-in (adequate for screen output but not for anything else really) or you can install a purpose built super graphics card that wlil be a beast for anything you throw at it! if youre doing image manipulation, flash and stuff i recommend getting a separate graphics card

	3.2GHz processor can mean pretty much anything...anything from a Pentium 4 to a Core i5. I'd say do a quick download of CPU-z and upload a screenshot here. Or run dxdiag and post a screenshot of the window that pops up.

	aaron6581230 or he could just run dxdiag Saves the time of a download (my roommate always complains about it when I give him simple diagnostic tools to download). Shows on the first page too. kimlotte to run it just hit the Windows key and type in "dxdiag" and hit enter. What we care about right now is the Processor which should be four lines from the bottom. ------------------- Check out the Android Forum!

	With your budget, you can already build a pretty decent rig for web development and even heavy gaming.
