Your still not over budget you could buy an monitor off of newegg for around what you have left over after buying parts.Also Windows 8 is way overrated I would buy windows 7 also... You are going to see some performance drops in cpu intensive games because 2.2 Ghz is a little slow.But once you can afford an upgrade just buy a 3 Ghz model sandy bridge or ivy bridge and you should be fine.

To the post above That one would be perfectly fine.I have a Toshiba right now and it has given me zero problems since I have had it.Also Hitachi is a branch off from Western Digital which is a good name brand company.

Hyperthreading is basically just something to make a core perform like 2 cores,so if i had a quad core with hyperthreading it would run like an 8 core because of hyperthreading.Same as with my dual core I3 it has hyperthreading so it performs like a 4 core.

I understand the performance thing. Micro ATX rather small and ATX is a much more spread out form factor plus it allows more flexibility for futue upgrades with better air flow.
