help Need help with a laptop

Hey there guys.

I'll be heading to college soon to start my HND course, and I'll be needing a laptop. I've found this one, it's in my price range and I'm wondering if it'll be sufficient for games such as LoL and Minecraft and whether or not it'll be able to play a few high-end games.

Laptop in question.

Basically an i5-3210M (2.5GHz x2) with an Intel HD 4000 integrated card, 6GB RAM.

Not looking for crazy performance, as I obviously won't get it without a dedicated video card, but I want games to be smooth and playable without having to mess with the graphic options to the point where games are basically squares with fancy colours.

Yeah, kinda shot myself in the foot with comment, huh?

Wouldn't happen to know of a laptop with a dedicated video card that isn't over £500?

Last post for a while, I promise.

Neoseeker, for some reason, has blocked the website, but it's PCSpecialist.co.uk, under the Laptop section, called "Inferno".

A 3rd-gen Intel Dual-Processor B970 (2.30GHz) with a 2GB GeForce GT 650M, 2GB of RAM.

Without going over the £700 mark, you won't be able to get a true gaming laptop.

How high are you willing to go with price?

Just to help Hiigaran out, £500 is about $810.


That 7670m will give you a decent video peformance, especially for LoL, that i3 is a decent CPU aswell. The only other one that I could find was this which would put you over budget. That offers better CPU performance, with little difference in video.

Just realised not, which means it'll cost extra for it. Didn't see that. That'll put the price up to £600 unless you have an OS to put on it, otherwise disregard it.
