WEIRD problems and errors, please help.

you mean normally would reinstall windows? you should try that, it would fix any software problems.. if it is a software problem.

you should try to run Memtest86 first though.

you need to burn the ISO to a CD/DVD and boot into it, and it will test your memory(RAM)

Try changing your nvidia driver to 295.73 those seem to be the most stable now.

But I had the problem too for a long time.These seem to have fixed it for the most part.

You could see a display error in event viewer for it,If you check.Itll say something like display driver stopped responding.But sometimes it can just lock and it wont get logged.

No you will run into the same problem again,heres the driver just uninstall the old one from uninstall programs first.

Uninstall everything,when you install the new one that stuff will be on it with newer versions.Oh yah when your installing it should have a little button that says do clean install.You might have to choose custom install to see it.Choose that!

You dont really need nvidia update i usually dont install that.It just updates things for you.

You can just go to the site like this whenever you want drivers.Thats just an unneeded thing on your system.You want to stick with this set anyway if it works.

I usually change this setting too,to make sure windows updates doesnt install the drivers they have for Nvidia.

It should thou install a basic wwdm driver,its ok without that your pc wont even see what your graphics card is.Ive tried to install without that and it wouldnt work.

This is under devices and printers found in your start menu,you right click on the pc icon.And you can get to this.

set it to never install driver software from windows updates,I dont know if its nessasary.The pic shows the default it might be alright.But if you had automatic updates checked I can see it causing a problem.

But Ive just been doing it just in case.Than I set it back after.
