Crysis 1, Crysis 2, Portal 2, Counter Strike, GTA III, GTA VC and GTA Sanandreas, GTA IV, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Left For Dead 2, and maybe more but I don't know. 	your video card is going to be your biggest limiting factor. you can run all of these games, but most if not all will not run on high settings. games like crysis will probably run at lowish settings. you can try to overclock your video card if you are familiar with it. EDIT: portal2 should run at high settings or so -------------------

	well when considering games, the video card is the biggest factor. next to that, the cpu. as both rigs have the same card, ill have to say the second rig is better because of the faster cpu, even if it is a dual core. -------------------

Of course, but I thought that card was good enough, maybe I can overclock it but I'm not sure about that. I made a thread on another site and they just said that that card would manage those games quite well, and the guy that helped was a Microsoft Certified Expert... So should I take your word or theirs?

	'quite well' is a vague and subjective term. like i said, you wont have any problems running any of these games, but the quality youd be playing them at for decent FPS will be medium-low for most of your listed games. if you overclock it, you might get better quality, but now that ive found out your rig is running on a 300 watt power supply...i dunno if even overclocking would help you unless you got a new psu. -------------------

	oh im so sorry, i mixed up this thread for another one. no forget the PSU, no problems there. yeah go ahead and overclock the card if you want, but regardless, my thoughts on the performance still stand, although it would help if you linked me the other forum. perhaps they are excluding resolution and anti aliasing settings from their responses. -------------------

	huh, youre satisfied with 20 FPS? wow, almost everyone isnt happy unless they have theirs in the sixties. well in that case, you can play on higher settings, but im still not sure about the absolute highest...crysis is definitely out of the question, but the slowest of the games should work fine, at the very least, on medium settings. -------------------

Heh, well that was a while ago, since then I've bought a few games so I know what you mean A friend of mine recommend me to get a GTX 550Ti for when I decide to upgrade.

	well that would depend on how much you are willing to spend. there are only a handful of nvidia cards i would recommend based on a performance to price ratio. the first one that comes to mind is the gtx 570, but thats probably more than youll want to spend (~320 bucks). -------------------

Ah yeah that's way too much, I live in Ireland, but cards from the US are fine, I just checked the 550Ti, and it's around $150, but it's €102 , so it's around 50 Dollars cheaper for me.

	well im going to go to sleep, but in the meantime, take a look though this. its not the most reliable of comparisons as you will see from the results, but they give you a general idea of the performance of different cards. you can look for prices online. the best thing to do is make a performance to price ratio, and see which one is the highest. -------------------
