Most people seem to say that 2x16 boards isn't all that much higher then 2x8. Maybe you should wait and see if you feel it's really worth getting another board for?

Plus then you also lose your usb 3 / sata 6.

I like corsair AX/HX for power supplies, but I'm opening up to some others. I'd say just shoot for something at least 80% certified, I wouldn't bother with anything less as that's the new standard nowadays and for good reason.

There's a lot of good heat sinks available. Most people seem pretty happy with 4gz so you really can't go wrong with any of the ones that score very well in reviews. Maybe consider how much space your tower has though and whatever motherboard you may get to be sure you have clearance as some larger heat sinks can be incompatible with different configurations or alignments.

I think you would experience a more noticeable benefit if you had an SSD drive for the money instead of a new board.

Also, I can't seem to find any use for that 3.0 USB. It's only compatible with other 3.0 USB devices, right?

And as for heatsink. I plan on getting a full tower to replace my mid, Im thinking 1200 antec will last me a while.

Hmm. I guess if you don't really have anything else to spend your money on, why not get another GPU? It's not necessary, but neither is a hexa-core CPU. People still buy them though.

USB 3.0 ports work with USB 2.0 devices as well, although of course they will only work at 2.0 speeds

Personally I'm not a fan of Antec cases too much *dodges machine gun fire from fanboys*

Cooler Master all the way - take a look at the HAF 922, 932 and HAF X. The 922 is technically a mid-tower, but basically as tall as the 932, which is of course a full tower. The HAF X, well that's just a beast...

Totaly agree with you on the core part and, yeah that's pretty much what I ment when I said 3.0 USB is not too useful.

As for gpu, well, that's pretty much the whole point of the topic. Should I spend money on a new mb and new psu to get another 5850. Is it worth it at all, as I understand by now, you're pretty sure it ain't, alright.

As for case, CM haf 922 sounds really good. It's even an inch wider then 932.
