I was surprised how quick it updated this time. I seen it up like a few minutes it sent.

I agree with what you are saying but how could it have been a big unit if it was at 24 hours?


It works the same for me. If I get a big unit that takes 3 days, I only get 60k for it, if I get one that takes 2 days I get 70+K. Makes no sense. I don't understand why they have time for completion and bonus. If I was a fold nut, I'd just buy a dual CPU board, then I could finish any unit in 1 day and probably get over 100k+ per day doing it. If I had say dual 980's on same pc I could see it happening. Still running 8 threads pegged at 100% is something.

I don't understand why GPU's can't run Big Adv.

All that said I'll have another one done in by early tomorrow. I messed up and wasn't thinking and rebooted earlier. The thing that does suck is I have to run pretty fast to get that kind of bonus, and you have to be stable too or it will shut down and yank the Big from you. If I wasn't running at 4.2gz I'd be definitely getting less points. It only ='s out to about 20kppd for 3 day job or 30+k ppd for the 2 day jobs. I was toying with bumping up speed to 4.4 or 4.5, but then I'd be running in the 70's or 80's probably and I like have it hovering just about 70 now. I think I am probably sucking more power out though doing this.

I should have another one done in the early AM tomorrow. Would have been later tonight but I messed up and lost several hours of time last night when my bounced unexpectedly bounced cause of me.

On the other side, we should be celebrating. We only have 100k till we hit 10 million points. If everyone pitched in we could get this tomorrow!

the big units for us running the standard smp2 units are the 6701 and 6702 units.they are twice the size.

I really feel bad for Hii and the others that run the uni as it takes allot longer to complete a unit and they only get 50-250 points or so for it.

they do if you have a fermi card.(gpu3)
it runs on the 8xxx-4xx cards but only the4xx gets the big ones.
with the new 450 cards out as cheap as they are i may switch over,from what i have seen it is about the same in most games ass my 5770.

Hmm, that'd be nice. I was surprised to see 450's in store around my house yesterday already. This town typically never gets anything close to new in a timely manner. I dunno, I've seen 470's as low as 200 recently and 460's flirting with $150 for smaller size memory up to 2GB going for 250 though twin 250's would probably best that card handily.

The 470 offer I seen though was pretty tempting.

i got one of my big ones so it will be tomorrow late afternoon before it is done.i still have my kids 8800 running,and if gravity can stay away from the big ones we should hit 10 million by morning.
