arrgh! i had to move around some hardware a few minutes ago, so i had to turn my computer off. the GPU client was at 96% completion, and then it told me i had an ustable machine with a message saying the core wasnt shut down properly...god dammit.

well, at least each WU only takes about 2.5 hours to complete.

not sure about the multi core support. havent seen anything about it.

also, according to FAHMon, if i left my computer on all day to fold, id be getting 13000 points a day. not too shabby, though i wish i knew why it wont utilise both processors.

I plan on joining when I get my rig up and running, I ordered the last of the parts today. I'm hoping I'll have it built by Friday, except I had to order some things from NZXT official store and EVGA official store, they said a week - week and a half... Which sucks (especially because the process got delayed for some reason).

I can build without the GTX 570 backplates, but I don't feel like building without the NZXT case fans and cable extensions, mainly because that's a pain in the ass to do when the PC is built. Backplates are easy, take out the cards and screw 'em in, pop the card back in, voila.


I have a question, though. How would folding effect my electric bill? Also, how will it effect my performance and heat? Let's say I have it running at 80% 24/7. Also, if I have it running at 80%, does that mean I only have 20% of my processing power left while running other programs, or will it automatically adjust itself lower when other programs require more processing power?

just put F@H on yet another computer. hopefully in a few days, my active clients should go from 9 to 10. its an office work computer, so its not gonna do much, but its still something, and its almost always on overnight.

come on guys, what happened to the good old days where we had like fifteen people active?

Have they released a client for ATI cards yet? I wanna fold but I hear it's more difficult when you have an ATI setup...
