	e system builders version, or OEM, is the one youre looking for (the cheaper one). make sure youre getting the 64 bit version, or youll waste money on memory. -------------------

	performance wise, 64 bit is apparently a little better. resource consumption wise, 64 bit uses a little more. price wise, 32 bit is a little cheaper. at this stage, theres no reason to get 32 bit anymore. -------------------

	the biggest, and most important difference between oem and retail is that once you install an oem copy of windows, it must stay with that computer. you cannot install it on another computer, be it at the same time, or after uninstalling it from the old computer (the former being illegal to start with). furthermore, if you do have to reinstall windows on the same computer because of hard disk failure or something, activation becomes a bit of a problem, and you most likely have to call microsoft. -------------------
