If only going with one 5850 you can downgrade the psu if you want

and imo that ram is expensive for only cas 8

Core i7 has hyper threading, 8gb RAM built for i5 & i7, and it's cheap.

I'm not sure if you're buying a monitor, so I figured I would leave out some more expensive parts.

Better GPU for games, idk if you want to crossfire, and I'm not 100% sure if dual 5850's is better than a hemlock.

If it is, then go dual 5850/5870.

Wait - what are you saying here? Hemlock is $700, dual 5870's are like $900. Dual 5850's are $800.

So, the Hemlock is the wise choice... If you're disagreeing with me.

They Both perform within 3% of each other because the 5970 has reduced clock speeds compared to the 5870. Sometimes the 5850's win and sometimes the 5970 wins.

I selected the i7 860 over the 920 as it's a slightly more powerful processor, at least in games. Triple channel memory is unnecessary and only gives a minimal increase in performance in non memory heavy tasks. 2200mhz is currently the fastest ram available on the market, at least until corsair releases the 2250mhz ram but you probably wont be able to tell the difference.
Two hd 5850's perform about the same as the 5970 and the motherboard does have slots for crossfire so why spend the $80 extra to get the 5970? The 750w corsair will be plenty enough for these two cards, even overclocked if you so choose to.
The hard drive disks is one of western digitals fastest 7.2k rpm 1TB drives. I threw the blu-ray in just in case you wanted it, you can switch to a dvd drive if you dont.
You had plenty of room left in the budget for adding in a solid state drive so I put in one of the best price/performance SSD's available for your budget. You should instal your operating system and games that you tend to play alot on this drive, or games with long loading times.

Total 1993.91 + $20 MIR

Asus is better choice in now days for getting a good mother board if you working with game more.
