At the moment they are being very badly organised by twisty ties that are designed for fastening sandwich bags etc. More possibilities: http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Kustom_PCs_Shop_Spiral_Wrap_67.html http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Techflex_FlexoWrap.html http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Braiding.html http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/Flexo_Wrap.html What do you people think? Wire management is what you want to look for you did post two of those from eBuyer, you could use something like PP Wire Management Kit it has lots of nifty ways to tuck & hid the wires out of view and when you get ready to move to a new case simply cut the zip times and pop off the holders.
Here is a link to the front part of the wire management so you can see what other stuff you can look for. Wire Management ------------------- ASRock N68-S AM2+/AM3 Athlon X2 7750 Black Edition Kingston DDRII PC5300 2048mb XFX Geforce 9800GT 512mb RAIDMAX AURORA 600W Cooler Master Elite 341

use some zip ties with the cables and secure them to the hard drive mounting rack on the side with your mobo mounting plate. not much else you can really do in this case. no point spending more than that, especially on this rig (assuming its the one in your sig)

Go with the spiral wrap so you can unwind it later with ease, the braiding looks like a more permanent solution.

re: Check out my cable management... |

But if I got those I would still need some cable ties to secure them to the case and keep them out of the way. I found a site selling cable ties dirt cheap (from £1.50 for 1000) and they had them sorted by their size. For instance, 100mm x 2.5mm. The 100mm must be the length, so what's the 2.5mm measurement? this is the page. I'm probably just being stupid here and at first I thought it was the depth until I saw the ones that were 12.7mm.
EDIT: I won't need any with a length of over 100mm, will I? This message was edited by dangerman200k on Nov 14 2009. ------------------- Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.66GHz (F7 Pro) 4GB DDR2 @ 800MHz GeForce 8800GT 512MB MSI P35 (MS-7392) WD Caviar Blue 500GB LG 20" WSXGA+ Windows 7 Ultimate x64

re: Check out my cable management... |
quotewell if the length is the long one, and height is neglected, then obviously that 2.5mm is the width. you can ignore all but the length though. this isnt heavy duty stuff. and no, you wont need anything longer than 100mm. -------------------

Thanks. I'll buy some cable ties and spiral wrap and maybe post a pic when I'm done.

Um... How much spiral wrap do you think I should buy?
EDIT: Is 8mm width good? ------------------- Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.66GHz (F7 Pro) 4GB DDR2 @ 800MHz GeForce 8800GT 512MB MSI P35 (MS-7392) WD Caviar Blue 500GB LG 20" WSXGA+ Windows 7 Ultimate x64

they all come in 1m lengths. that will suffice, as i doubt you will use more than 75% of it.
