my pc gets to the screen where says didnt end properly start with safe mode last known good config etc then resets itself

ive tried reinstalling windows from disc but wont let me ive even tried booting from the windows disc but it says a coupla dll files are corrupted which a matw=e says shouldnt happen anyone any ideas hpw i can fix this?

Sounds like you might have a hard drive with some bad blocks. This could cause a problem for your original OS as well as any future re-installs. See if you can go into sfe mode and try to run a CHKDSK to see if your drive is still healthy.

wont let me run in safe mode resets soon after i choose safe mode this has happend before got pc world to sort it but i was hoping to get it sorted w/o havin to pay to get it sorted

keep hitting f8 after you turn it on, and you should get a list of choices, select disable automatic restart on system failure. it should show you the blue screen and you should be able to read the stop code

Do you have the OS disc to run a system restore from disc? That should work to get things back the way it used to be.

guest01 all that did was bring up the boot menu i tried that nu wa but it wouldnt load and every time i try to boot from the disc it says some files are corrupted
