Blue screen help

I bought a new laptop like a week ago, it's running windows vista 64 bit. I didn't really have any problem with my laptop, it ran smooth and whatnot. However, like, a day ago, I tried to hook up my iPod with this laptop as I wanted to sync songs from my laptop to the iPod. However, as the sync finished, my laptop went blue, and yeah, it's blue screen of death. ): I didn't get any specific error code, but what I got was "0x00000018", there was no specific error. I didn't know that my iPod was the trigger, so I kept on hooking my iPod to the laptop, and it kept on happening.

Later, I found out that iPod is the problem, so I unplugged it. However, the blue screen keeps on happening, and it pisses me off. But I got a new blue screen, message tho, I believe what I got was "0x00000050" and page fault in non paged area.

I don't think I've ever changed my driver, unless it's an update from windows, and I'd assume that iTunes triggers the problem.

AND I CANT DO SYSTEM RESTORE. As my computer is a week old, I didn't think there was a necessity that I have to create a system restore point, so I have none. I'm thinking to go back to factory settings, but I've transferred files from my old laptop to this laptop. Will go back to factory setting delete my files?

Edit: oh, and keep it mind, the ipod worked fine before, it just happened yesterday, out of the *bleep*ing blue.

I have 4 gig ram, so i didn't think it'd be the problem, not to mention that it's a brand new ram. ): well, i'm gonna check it for sure, i'll try. thanks for the suggestion.

New RAM can still go bad. According to what you posted as the symptoms of your problem, it points back to faulty RAM.
