Is it in your browser? And what browser do you use?

There is probably something for it in Add/remove programs in the control panel. Look for it in there and uninstall it.

I meant go to add/remove programs IN the control panel, it may show up there. If not, download and run spybot Search and destroy, that may pick it up.

If Yoong is part of your browser, I would imagine thatyou could go to 'tools', and 'extensions/plugins' or whatever, and disable it or uninstall it from there.
Correct me if I'm wrong?

well that work till i exited out of firefox then i went back on it and yoog was there again. Yoog is a spyware but my avg and spybot can't find them but i did a free scan online and yoog showed up as spyware. The down side is that i have to pay to get it removed cause of the scan i did. So any ways does anybody know of a good spyware download thing that doesn't cost but its really good.i all ready have avg spyware and spybot s&d

just run Hijack this and remove any Yoog settings in there. Also, in firefox, I believe you can choose which is your default search engine. I use chrome so I'm not sure about this setting.

That last site is relatively useless. Anyway... There are numerous ways that yoog gets installed then even more ways for it to spread itself. You can get an infection via firefox that will soon spread to internet exploder. The 'solutions' that only deal with deleting firefox stuff really aren't that good unless they include things to get it out of internet explorer since IE will reinfect FF before long.
AdAware only has the effect of giving your computer a 'bath', it cleans up the effects of yoog but not the latest versions of the infection itself. MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware will get rid of most of the older versions of yoog but not the latest.
Checking the registry's run and runonce and all those folders is also relatively useless with this latest version since it has apparently been adapted to attach itself to legitimate processes. MSconfig is no help for the same reason. System restore won't work either, so don't waste your time with that.
I don't have a solution yet, I'm only posting what doesn't work so I can save everyone some time and counter the worthless advice some clueless idiots have given in here.

hai every 1 even i had da damn *bleep*ing YOOG search engine. i tried all da above *bleep*ing list of ideas fr removing YOOG but failed 2 uninstalling. at last found a way (i use IE 8 beta 2) I THINK IT SPREAD THRU FIRE FOX. it ia a malware & it will slow down ur browsing speed. 1. first download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware software. & a new copy of da browser too i suggest u 2 download IE 2.uninstall ur browser delete it COMPLETLY frm ur system (u can search it thru ur search option in start menu) dont forget 2 emply recycle bin 3.restart ur system 4. install Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and perform a complete scan 5. delete all da malware it shows frm its QUARANTINE. 6. restart ur system again. 7. install da browser u have downloaded and go to da manage search engine option and delete YOOG there thats it it wont bother u again hope that this helped if so dont forget me! im pramod jonah bye !!!!!
