	Log in to remove this advertisement Which 1?? I have a 8800gt and I want to buy 1 of these 2. I know the Thermal runs cooler temps, but Im not gonna overclock much(maybe). Please give some advice...

	i have the Thermalright HR-03 Plus on a superclocked 8800 GTS, and i have to say man, it really cools down that card, the stock cooler was doing like 51-49 deg idle in a controled room temp of 23 deg, and my case is a TR V5000 Damier, with a quad 120mm fans on the side panel mod!! but when its under load, it goes up to 70-75 deg, i have installed the Thermalright HR-03 Plus , and now it stays 38-40 deg idle and 50 - 54 deg load, and i am Ocing now!! and it is still holding just fine, i think this is the best cooler for the 8800 GTS and GTX out there, but i dont know if it will fit on the GT, but i tell man, OC or no OC, that stock cooler is really bad at cooling!! ------------------- AMD X2 6000 3GHZ Abit KN9 SLI 2GB Balistix 800MHZ E-vga 8800GTS 320 Superclocked 2 250GB 7200.10 Barracudas

	I know it sucks! I think the Thermalright HR-03 plus is the best 1 on the market now. I'm gonna go with the Zalman, because Im not gonna Oc much. Plus it looks nice and the cooling is good, 10 deg more than HR-03 but good enough. Thx.

	I'm just curious, Is a GPU cooler a necessary or nice to have? Do they invalidate your warranty? and will it reduce the overall case temp? thnks

	For the 8800GT I recommend it. I had over heating problems and I'm not short on cooling. Some manufactures don't support heatsink modification therefore voiding your warranty. As for case temps, there's hardly a difference. 	I think the 8800GTS has slightly better cooling but I'm guessing they still run hot?

	To run games full graphics yes, it overheats and my computer freezes. I will loose the warranty, but I have a way around it. Plus Im gonna do some modifications to the case for better cooling.

	I would go with the Thermalright HR-03 Plus myself.Allot of people like the zalman but i justhad a cpu cooler fan die after 8 months of use.From the reviews i have seen the thermalright has a better rating -------------------
