has anyone found any use for the great knife you get from pyramid head? it's so SLOW to walk when you equip it, it's slow as f_ck to swing... is there any point to using it at all? does it change the ending?

You don't need it and it doesn't change the ending, but it's a great way to kill creatures without using ammo. The overhead swing is an instant kill for most everything in the game on Normal difficulty. It's just very hard to use.

the great knife is best used when fighting the 2 Pyramid heads together.

you can kill them in about 6 hits.

or about 4 if you get it to bounce off the wall and hit them again(2 times in a row).

where as it can take over 40-50 shougun bullets if you`re playing on hard.

The great knife is just an awesome weapon to use on the final boss, I don't know why its just more satisfying then shooting it.

More messy. Its great to show off to yoru friends and gain respect with.
