Who are your favorite characters in this game? It doesn't have to be anyone you play as, it can be anyone you see in the game. My personal favorites are Solid Snake, Revolver Ocelot, Solidus Snake, and Vamp. I also like Fatman because of his memorable personality. I like Solid Snake because he handles situations so easily, he's definitely a veteran, and he always has that bad-ass attitude and personality that I have never seen another character have before. I think Ocelot is great because he is so evil and sadistic, I mean Solidus and Liquid are evil (Liquid is more so), but Ocelot is so cunning and devious, he always makes it to where HE is the one holding all of the cards, and the only people ever to be able to manipulate him were the Patriots. Solidus is great because he almost doesn't seem evil, I mean he seems to want to take the Patriots down for good, granted that his methods are bad, but his speech at the end really made me like him. Finally Vamp, do I really need to say why I like Vamp? Really, Vamp just plain simply kicks ass! All of his powers are extraordinary! I especially love watching him take out the Navy SEALs! Peace.

My favourite character is Snake!
I like his demeanor, attitude, and his lookout on most situations.

I also enjoy the Colonel nearing the end of the game when his AI screws up, I think it is a riot!

OOOOH! Jon has another new avatar! Anyway, Jack is my favorite because he's struggling with himself as much as with the enemies and I love tortured characters because they reveal so much of themselves. He's a tortured soul like Magneto, Sephiroth, Zechs Marquis, Alucard....all alone because of something in their past which they are battleing to come to terms with. Actually, a lot of the characters are tragic like Fortune, Vamp, Ocelot, Emma....but Jack is in the forefront because he is the pivot to this whole agenda. He also has the best butt in gaming history! LOL Snake of course is my other favorite because he, too, had been a tortured soul in the previous MG. However, he successfully made the transition and made peace with himself. He now knows who he is and has found a purpose in life. He makes a wonderful mentor for Jack. Jack, on the other hand allows us to see just how accomplished, self-confident, and how legendary Snake really is. Jack compliments Snake very well. In my opinion this was exactly what Hideo wished to accomplish. I believe the use of a second main character used to imply just how great Snake really is and allow Snake to interact and show us more about himself was very important to character development. I think it was a brilliant idea. My only sorrow is that Jack is reported not to be brought back in future MG's. I know he wouldn't be in the next one since it is a midquel (between two games). However, I really would have liked to see him in a sequel and had him partnered with Snake so that they could work simultaneously even if not at the same location but still they're missions intertwined. That would be real cool cause we could see Jack mature with Snakes help and we could see more of the personal Snake as opposed to the professional Snake.

I like snake he's the best,he can even since danger in his sleep.
I also like solidos because he looks like big boss and his suit is cool.

A lot of people seem to like the bad guys. Sometimes I like them, but usually I like the heros. Generaly because I feel sory for the hero, because they tend to have many personal struggles. Bad guys are usually arrogant pig heads, and I feel nothing for their character. Well, exceot for Jon of course!!!!

Some bad guys really P me off and others I'm drawn to like a moth to a flame! Some "bad" guys who I adore...Magneto, Sephiroth, Liquid (he is so elegant), Kuja,...I could name more but you'd get bored. However, I classify them as disturbed and not bad because these guys all have something eating at them and are not just inherently evil...except maybe for Liquid. He is probably the only one that comes close to just evil. The rest are struggling with self to overcome or deal with something! I really feel for these guys! Take Zechs Marquis for instance. He is struggling with the ruin of his country and his feeling of failure in letting his country and his family down so he becomes the bad guy so he can enable his sister to do what he feels he can no longer accomplish...peace. He even does not claim his family name, Peacecraft, because he feels he will dishonor it somehow and even this inspires others to follow him. He turns out to be a real hero though in the movie Endless Waltz. I can't see a bad guy being the good guy in MGS though. The lines are pretty well drawn now. However, in comparison, Jack could have been considered a bad guy if he hadn't struggled with his past and limped down the "right" path. His struggle to be "good" makes him very appealing as does Snake since he too was strugging at one time to discover who he really was. He escaped to Alaska in an attempt to hide but he discovered that he couldn't hide from himself anywhere and be broke free of the self imprisonment. We love the Snake we know now, but he wasn't "born" that way. He too struggled like Jack. Looking at Jack we may get a glimpse of what Snake may have went through to some degree.

Well, going back a little bit; I have to say that I really liked Grey Fox (the Ninja from MGS1). Judging from his popularity it looks like a lot of people agree with me too! Anyway, I really don't know if I classify him as a "bad guy" or a "good guy" but he is very awesome as either. I think he's more neutral, and I of course think his powers rock, but that's not the only reason I like him. He is always so silent, and yet he knows what's going on, and then we he sees the right opportunity he strikes, and he strikes hard. He's also a very good friend of Snake's, plus that speech he gave to Solid at the end was classic and memorable. So I'd definitely have to say that he is one of my favorite's.

I'm partial to Solidus myself. After all, he wasn't that bad of a guy.

Sure he tried to kill you, but his ambitions were in the good. And he better be back from MGS3, in one form or another.

I hope Solidus is back as well for MGS3, but I mean that would be a little weird having Liquid controlling Ocelot and then have Solidus in there controlling somebody or coming back in some form that we never expected. All though it would still be very awesome to see that, and I hope it does happen.

my favorite charecter is ninja raiden cause you can block bullets and cut people up and stuff.that is awesome

Definitely Vamp. He is just badass.

I'm going to have to go with Solidus and Solid. Imagine if those two were to ever team up...
