9/10The Good:Anton Furst's production design was EXTRAORDINARY.
Danny Elfman's score was AMAZING.
Still the best film version of the Wayne family murders in crime alley.(Ignore the whole Joker killed his parents thing)
Finaly, a live-action version of Batman that was dark and epic. Thank You Tim Burton!
Legendary Batmobile design! Thank You Anton Furst!
Solid performances by Keaton/Nicolson.
Changed the general public's view of what batman is "supposed to be".
The Bad:The portrayal of commissioner gordon and his lack of impact on the story/ no interaction with batman whatsoever.
Nicolson was too old, fat and *bleep* to play Joker, though it was the movies biggest sell. I think he would have been amazing if he had played the part in his younger days.
Inferior visual effects, even for the time.
The Ugly:The horrible special effects. Michael Keaton's hairpiece.
Best Moment(s):1.)When The Joker defaces masterpieces in the art museum (dancing to Prince's Partyman) and batman crashes through the SkyLight.

Classic.
2.)I also liked the Axis Chemicals standoff with the cops/gangsters/batman.
3.)Final Battle in the cathedral was visually stunning. Batman fights a nameless, juggernaut of a thug who looks like Ray Carles.
4.)Any part with the batmobile.

5.)Joker's TV chemercial.
Love that Joker!
Worst Moments:1.)When Joker falls its a blurry little animated thing. If u pause the DvD and stare at it you'll have nightmares.

2.)Final confrontation with Joker was kind of a let down.
3.)Too much like Bob Kane/Bill Fingers early issues, not enough like late 70s and 80s/Denny O'Neal/Frank Miller/Alan Moore type of stories.(sorry sam hamm)
quote Maxwell Atoms
Overall, brilliant film.
This film ranks third place in my favorite batman movies list, 2nd being Mask of the Phantasm and 1st being Batman Begins/Dark Knight.
