A. Takakura will bring a horse to you after around first Summer. He can't bring a horse while you're ordering an animal or the Miracle Potion, so stop ordering them around that time.
Q. I'm engaged. When will I get married?
A. At the end of the first chapter.
Q. I linked my game with Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. How do I know if I did it correctly?
A. Make sure you have good save games on both sides. Follow the instructions in the manual. Make sure your GBA is turned off when you begin to link. Always initiate the linking from A Wonderful Life by trying to go up the hill. Then turn on your GBA and go to talk to the Harvest Goddess. Once you're done linking, try talking to the townspeople. If they start talking about the other town (i.e. "I heard the farmer in Mineral Town is filthy rich." in A Wonderful Life), you've done it correctly. But, if you have just started playing both games, and there is nothing for the townspeople to talk about, the only way for you to know if you've done it correctly is by the star marks given to you when you link. Also, Van and Ruby become the key persons when you link, so be sure to become good friends with them!
Q. My first cow stopped producing milk. What should I do?
A. Your cows produce milk for 40 days after giving birth. Your first cow produces milk during the first year. Plan ahead so that you don't run out of milk!
Q. I bought a cow, but she's not producing milk. Why?
A. The cows you buy are still young. It takes 30 days for them to grow. Then, they have to give birth to start producing milk, which takes another 30 days. So, plan ahead!
Q. How many hearts does a girl have to have before I propose to her?

A. Those who have played our Harvest Moon series might be waiting for one of the townspeople to come to your farm to invite you to the festivals on the day before... Sorry. In Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, you have to trigger them by going to people's houses during a certain period of time.
Q. Can I use a memory card that is not an official Nintendo GameCube Memory Card?
A. NO!! Always use an official Nintendo GameCube Memory Card. The game does not support non-licensed memory cards, so your game may not be saved correctly, and sometimes you won't be able to keep playing the game.

Produce Farmer (plants)- Become good friends with Vesta, and bring your child there. Buy, and use fertilizer. Show your son seeds, crops and trees. And grow a lot of plants. Livestock Farmer (animals)- Keep him with you around the farm most of the time. Keep your animals in the pasture as much as possible. Show him your animals. Snuggle (press y) with the animals. Use the milking room, and milk the cows by hand.

A. For the milk drinking contest mini-game, wait until Rock is in the Inn (which is very rare) and talk to him. He'll challenge you. Oh, ppl say that Grant will do this too, can somebody confirm this? And for the washing grave mini-game go to Galen's new house at around 6-9 AM and he'll stand near Nina's grave. Talk to him over and over until he asks you to wash it.
Q. What does the food processing room do?
A. Lets you make cheese and butter.
Q. How do I get S grade crops?
A. Use 15-20 fertilizers to make it go up to A. 30-40 to make it go up to S.
Q. When do you get the cat?
A.Befriend Romana and inthe second chapter wake up and go outside.
Q. Do I have to go to Romana or will she come to me with the cat?
A. She will come to you.
Q. What is Tartan?
A. Tartan is a talking plant that can analyze things, make hybrids, and use flowers to upgrade crops (and sometimes trees)
Q. How do I get Tartan?
A. To get Tartan, be very good friends with Takakura. Then enter his house but only if he is in the house too. There should be a scene where he tells you about Tartan. This may not work on the first try. Give it a couple tries.
Q. Help! Tartan is not making hybrids for me. Why?
A. In order to get hybrids, you have to befriend Tartan. This is pretty easy, just talk to him alot and soon he will ask you "Do you need something?" and you can say Hybrid if you are good enough friends with him.
Q. What does that ~Guu~ mean?
A. It means you are hungry. When the ~Guu~ appears, feed your character. This is challenging in Chapter 1, but just find some plants (such as Mugworts or Hackberrys) and feed him.
Q. How much are the buildings?
A. Seed Maker - 6,000 G (unless for free from Daryl) Pond - 2500 G Food Processing Room - 35,000 G Milking Room - 60,000 G
Q. What do the buildings do?
A. The Seed maker lets you turn crops/fruits into seeds. One crop/fruit turns into two fruit/crop seeds. The Pond allows you to have Ducks, which you can get Duck Eggs, hatch new ducks and sell the Ducks for 500 G each. The Food Processing Room turns milk into Cheese or Butter, which sell for more. The Milking Room will milk your cow automatically, just push your cow in there and soon it will learn to go by itself, without a push. (Beware, this could cause a glitch.... my poor star cow is stil stuck in there!)
Q. What do the girls like?
A. Muffy likes flowers and shiny coins. Celia likes flowers. Nami likes Autumn Flowers (Trick blues, etc) and also fossils. (from the ruins.) you will know if Nami like's something when she says that looks cool, etc.
Q. How do you get other animals?
A. You can buy them. The Goat you must buy, although I do not recommend it. For the cat, you must befriend Romana and one day she'll come to your farm and give it to you. For the Chihuahuah you must befriend Carter and Flora. For other animals, just buy em.
Q. My cow won't give milk!
A. Cows do not give milk if they are sick or pregnant. every 40 days your cow will stop giving milk so you have to get it pregnant again.
