Fall 2

Jade listened to her story fighting back tears, Jade thought his had it bad...his parents died yeah, but this girls whole family was murdered before her eyes! How had he been so stupid as to not even notice something was wrong...

Laura began crying uncontrollably, he desperately wanted to comfort her but he didn't know how she would react. Ignoring his instinct telling him not to touch her he put his arm around her and pulled her head into his shoulder. Her body was shaking furiously, tears came to his eyes...he wanted to help her and make it all go away, but he knew that he couldn't do it...

Fall 2

"It's all my fault! I'm so stupid! Why my brother? he was just a little baby!" Laura sobbed. "It's all my fault.."
She pulled herself away, and wiped her eyes. Taking a shaky deep breath, she shook her head, feeling helpless.

Fall 2

"I don't know why your brother," Jade's voice shook. "And it's horrible what you've been through, no one should have to suffer that much." Jade stopped, at a loss for words. "And Laura... It-...it's not your fault! What control did you have over the situation?" Jade paused. "None, you had no control. It was just some thug that...I don't know, that was totally messed up. You can't blame yourself, Laura...If you do you'll never get through it..." Jade said.

Fall 2

"But it is my fault!" Laura insisted. "I should have...I dont know..."
She buried her head in her hands again.
"It's all my fault. I should have locked the front door. I should have been the one drowned in the bathtub. Not my brother. Not Mom. Not Dad. I should have been shot. Not them. None of them. They didnt do anything wrong...they didnt deserve to die..none of them. Especially not poor Tommy, he was just an innocent baby..."
She started crying, again.

Fall 2

"You were nine, Laura! It's not your job to lock the door, and you didn't do anything either...you know that if your mom or dad or brother had lived and you had died, they all would say the same thing...It's not your fault no one could have stopped the man." Jade said putting his hand on her shoulder.

Fall 2

Veronica finally came up and stayed up.
She was just about tired out.
"Whew," she sighed.
Veronica shook her head, water streaming out of her hair.
It landed all over her face.
Marvelous.

"I know!" Laura said, almost yelling.
She kept crying, no really knowing what else to do.
Why her poor little baby brother?
Why not her?
Why, oh, why?

FAll 2

Jade just sat there silently, not knowing what to do. Laura sat there crying, wondering if he should do something he decided not to. Just sitting there he wanted to cry but then thought that would really show how much of a man he was. Holding it in, he sat there with his hand on her shoulder. Feeling awkward and having no control of the situation. Perfect.

Fall 2nd

Finally, Laura calmed down.
"Okay. I'm done," she muttered.
She could see Daisy out on the balcony, barking, so she got up, and opened the door.
Exciting.
Unlike her owner, Daisy seemed to be very excited and joyful.
Well, opposites do acctract.

=Fall 3

Seth awoke and changed into a green polo and khaki shorts.
He ate a nice little breakfast, complete of bacon and eggs.
Neither Veronica nor Fran was home, so he didn't bother waiting for them.
As he packed up his bookbag, there was a loud knocking at his door.
Seth sighed and mozied over, taking his time to get there.
When he opened the door, he noticed Kelly, looking quite frantic.
"Hey.." Seth sighed. "What's wrong?"

Fall 3

"It's Kailani!" Kelly said.
"What?" Seth stammered.
"It's..just, come ON!" Kelly shouted, pulling Seth.

She started running, just as fast as she could without hurting Seth.

Fall 2nd

Laura sat down again.
Daisy ate some of her food.
Silence.
"What should we do now?" Laura asked, her voice hoarse.
Laura, dont ask such a stupid question.

Fall 2

Kelly pulled Seth all the way to the clinic.
Once there, she pushed him into Kailani's room.
"Why am I here? I've already screwed her up enough," he muttered to Kelly.
"She's waking up! And she was saying your name!" Kelly whispered frantically.
"Sh-She was?"
Seth glanced at the snoozing Kailani.

Fall 2nd

Davis also came up to the surface.
Lovely.
"Shall we get out?" he asked. "Or shall we stay here and continue with our little game?"
Davis, Davis.
Well, you didnt do anything stupid this time, so I'll be quiet.
