Women who go through abortion still have to give birth, it's just to a dead baby. Why should the baby be punished? It's not the babies fault, it's the rapists. Punish him.

This death is not a punishment. It is simply the point of the abortion, to inflict death upon the fetus before it is actually a person. Death is only justified as a means of punishment or if it is not taking away life from someone who has one. The fetus does not really have its own life. It belongs to the woman.

According to what? And who exactly defines what is "being alive" in their ideas? What right do they have to decide it for everyone else? That's exactly what a lot of pro-choicers accuse pro-lifers of.

As far as I'm concerned, if it recoils, it's alive. It can also feel pain. Even if it doesn't recoil, another child of its age might. Yes, I've heard these arguments that it's chauvinistic to think that way. Yes, I've been told I don't understand the mind of a woman. Clever trick, saying I'd need to know something I clearly don't know to view the argument correctly. But I don't need to understand the mind of a female.

A foetus is a physically dependent parasite. Two beings are occupying the same space, and the rights of one must eclipse the other. The entire abortion argument centres on which one - the pregnant woman or the foetus. A cluster of cells is not more important than my life.</sub>

On the other hand, Deis, the mother has already lived. The child is weeks old and hasn't seen outside its mother's body. And surely it's an act of selflessness to give up one's life for one's child?
