Drug culture is weak. It is just crutches, and has no smart use other than hrting your health and money for an illusion of a feeling that doesn't really exist. Those people may not be weak in stuff like art and politics, but they still have low will power for using them and not being able to say no.Besides, alot of these like Marcus Aurelius knew little of the harmful effects. In todays society most all know drugs are bad for health.

There are lots of things that are harmful to your health, and many of them also cost money. You havn't really succeeded in coming up with a valid reason why drugs should be illegal. Also just because people use drugs doesn't mean they are weak willed. Honest drug education is very important because it allows people to weigh the benefits and concequences and make informed decisions. That shows a much stronger character that a person that does what he's told without question.

And I didn't say that anyone who does drugs will throw their lives away. Only that some people will. And what I was saying is that it is not surprising that drug use comes in for criticism when it can ruin people's lives. Gambling and heavy alcohol drinking also come under fire for the same reason, though I think gambling is a somewhat smaller problem.

Yes, alcohol does cause problems, but just because alcohol is bad doesn't make it wrong to criticse using other drugs. Alcohol is here to stay, for right or wrong, and that's just the way it is. It's also worth noting that alcohol is not known to have a great effect on the mind. Many other drugs, such as pot, can affect the mind. I'm not saying everyone who smokes pot will become a *bleep*, I'm saying pot can affect your mind. I think people consider harming the liver not as bad as harming the brain, even though both are bad for you.

If you don't want to try them then it's up to you, but don't expect your knowledgeness opinion to have any real weight in arguments with those who have experiences drugs, and couldn't care less what you think.

I understand you all like to put your opinions accross, which is fine, but some of you have have no real knokledge and will quote irrelevant shit, and it annoys me, especially when you all feel the need to argue your points to the death (whether it be in lounging, here etc.)

Actualy reading this does seem to make you think, how can people judge drugs if they haven't tried it? Also some people tend to judge people on drugs, just because they are on drugs it doesn't make them a bad person!

I think that you shouldn't generalise people who take drugs- some are weak, and take it through peer pressure or to escape from their problems. But some make a conscious decision to try (and maybe carry on taking) the stuff. If they aren't doing anybody any harm (which, unfortunately, many dealers do), hell, it's their life, they're free to do what they want. But I think good education is important, so people can make informed choices. I read a leaflet that told me all about the dangers of weed, but at the end it said 'SO DON'T START!' which really put me off. I'm not an idiot.

Alcohol is not as dangerous to the mind as pot. I'm sticking to that. Alcohol makes you dumb while you are drunk, but in my experience people recover their intelligence soon afterwards. With some other drugs, that doesn't necessarily happen.
