	An anti-Islamic stance is the only sane one to have. There are plenty of good Muslims; do not mistake my dislike of Islamic teachings for anything more than that. Even in a developed country like the UK, 4/10 muslims between 16 and 24 want sharia law implemented into the legal system. The belief that Muslims that convert to another religion should be killed is shared by not insignificant portion of the Muslim population as well. These attitudes are not from "only extremists" that make up less than 1% of the religion's population; they are legitimate concerns and have a significant impact on the rest of us. Call me anti-Islamic all you want; it doesn't make me a racist or invalidate my arguments. Good religious people are good, more often than not, in spite of their religious beliefs... not because of them. ------------------- I'm a survivor. We're a dying breed. 	It makes you biased. There are just as many nutty jews doing racist anti-islamic things in Israel as there are anti-jewish racist muslims(they're both semitics). As I said you people choose to focus your hatred on one religion because it's the one you don't like. So congrats on joining the biased. I'll stick to hating all religions equally cause they are all insane.

	Inequality promoted by old and new religious teachings are an abhorrent stain on humanity. Shouldn't be accepted at all in any progressive society. Fundamentalism should be acknowledged as flawed/unethical and should be shunned completely. As for the new, it doesn't seem new. Anti-Semitism and religiously motivated racism has been prevalent for millennia. Especially between the three main monotheistic factions. As for which religious fundamentalist movement is stronger and more of an issue I have no idea. Gut reaction would be islam fundamentalist movements are more of an issue for MEDCs. Although that's more than likely skewed from islam xenophobic media and society. So it's really hard take even an educated objective guess. Bottom line. Fundamentalism should be shunned from society, where the intent is inequality or barbaric morality. I suppose though, that road leads down to not accepting religious text as the word of 'god' and eventually to the acknowledgement that religious text among other religious notions are man made. Not just islam but the power that faith schools, religious places of worship and overall religious cultures have over young minds is pretty damn immense. I'm interesting in seeing a source for that too though.

	Interesting post, Bakka, thought provoking. Now, guys, I am reading through this thread and the fact is the topic is already somewhat borderline because we are talking about an ancient hatred between two semetic people, Arabs and Jews. So I already know going in that this is going to be a heated topic, and I am all right with that, within reason. Now I am NOT warning anyone here from a discipline point of view, ie. bans and PPD kind of warning, but I can see this is already beginning to escalate to the point of getting personal. Now I am REALLY TRYING to leave this thread open because I think that ALL participants here are intelligent and have something interesting to say on the subject, but you guys are already starting to chip away at the civility I absolutely require in order to leave the thread open. Again, nobody is in danger of being disciplined here, this is not that kind of warning. But I am asking you guys to please prove my initial instincts about this thread wrong by keeping it on topic, civil, and without the cutting personal crap. Capiche? -------------------
