Plastic Surgery

Never is kind of a final term. What about reconstructive surgery ? A lot of people tend to think that plastic surgery is used only by people who are afraid of aging or by those who are entirely too wrapped up in their appearance and are seeking some kind of physical perfection. (At least physical perfection in their own eyes.) Plastic surgery is a lot more than that. It is frequently used to help burn and accident victims.

So... say you were burned over 70% over your body, or had your face and torso ripped up by taking a header out the windshield, would you still say you would never consider plastic surgery ? I would, but that is just my opinion.

If I absolutely needed plastic surgery for something, such as after suffering a car accident or something, then I might get it. Other than that, I don't think I would get it.

Reconsturctive surgery, sure. I'm not sure about just to make myself look better though.

I got plastic surgery on my left ear because I had a keeloid (sp?) growing on it, and it could've become cancerous, and it kept rupturing a lot of blood and was very painful. So, I got it removed a few months ago.
So you see, plastic surgery is not always for fixing up your imperfections. I would've kept that bump on my ear if it wasn't so potentially dangerous...

Yeah, now it's just freaky. I mean absolutely NO offense to the guy, but in my mind, he sort of resembles one of the chimp guys from planet of the apes. It's just the way I see him.

I have had reconstructive surgery (same as plastic)when I was younger because of a freak thing that happened on my way into the world. Anyways, just for the mere sake of looking 16 when I am 85, Hell no I wouldn't do it! I earned them wrinkles! No offense to those who want to do it, it's just not for me.

Plastic surgery... hrmm.. what do I think..?

Well some people have too much time, and not enough self-esteem, and personally.. I think they have thoughts run across their mind that if they were to change their physical appearance, to please society, that they will become something their not, but want to be.

To me, it seems like a waste of money. Unless for instance, you were born with some kind of Physical disorder or health reasons, then maybe it is necessary. Or possibly even for those whom, god forbid, have been in a terrible accident and are mangled enough that plastic surgery would help correct it.

Outside of of that, I can't see the need for it. It just seems like a waste of money to me. Just another way to inform the public that "Now you too, can look and feel like a million dollars!".. why? so you can blend in with the rest of the crowd? Weren't the majority of the human race created different from one another? Weren't they made to look different, even as early back as can be remembered? And if we were meant to change our appearance, why didn't centuries before Christ, have this option?

I know why... cause people didn't care about that. What one looked like was only apparent on the outside. Perhaps people looked within one another and saw the true person.. Even those whom were unsatisfied with their apearance. They dealt with it.

Man is making changes, in which (IMO) "God" should only determine, more and more as time ticks on. I said it before and I'll say it again..

"People are strange..."
