Q&A, Feedback, Suggestions, Requests...

The last few pages of the last thread were not that productive. The forum name has changed; Red picked it out so deal with it. We've eliminated a few circular threads or at least re-introduced them as a themed topic. Changed a few rules, trying to get more people to post here and trying to eliminate circular debates that are preventing discussions from moving forward. If you really take a step back you'll see that we haven't changed the place as much as you think we have.

Anyway, I present a challenge to anyone that wishes to accept. For anyone that wishes this forum to be successful and is on board for making a positive impact.

Please list (ONE) thing that you would like to see changed and why.

You can still ask standard questions or requests if necessary.

To be fair KK, people will list all sorts of things they don't like but not a single thing as to how they'll change it. And I'm sure they will do that with or without prompting.

I like the fact that there's focus outside the circular argument threads, and that circular arguments that go nowhere are no longer being promoted over other threads.

Also I like the topic of the month, but I wish we would have one all of the time, or that it was changed once every 2 weeks versus every month like someone mentioned earlier. The topics seem to die off relatively quickly (or become circular arguments) so I'd like to see them shortened to 2 weeks. Perhaps at the mod's discretion they can be extended to the full month? That way if there is good discussion going on it wouldn't have to end quite so abruptly. It's a good way to start to re-integrate those circular topics with new spins put on them to attempt to promote new discussion. The rape babies abortion topic was great, it is too bad it regressed so quickly but it was definitely a step in the right direction.

If I could change one (other) thing, it would probably be the forum name. I'll agree that a name change was needed, but I think we could've come up with something a bit better had we given it more time and thought.

I agree that very little change has come out of the new name (not that I thought much would anyway). It's not even a particularly good name, and as Gex said, the name could have been better if the decision wasn't made so quickly.

Isn't there bound to be circular arguments in a forum of this nature, always?

Yeah, Wo asked for the Christmas tree cursor and snow so I obliged him. Snow isn't as obtrusive due to how much white is in the header.
