i haveread of several tests aswell. the other flaws i have found in them is that they have never had a proper length test. What i mean by this is that no test i have read of has ever passed the length of 6 months. were if they want a proper test they should study the efffects over the length of 1 year or maybe even 2

I must admit, though I do not believe video games influence violent behaviour, during the period between 1998 and 2004, I did not bother investing interest in any other game except Counter-Strike 1.6 and Day of Defeat 2.4, and did not even become aware of Half-Life 2, or any other game until a month before it was released.

I entered a local net cafe to play Half-Life 2 on November 16th, 2004 and was amazed by the physics and advanced graphics. After having played for 1 hour, I left the net cafe to return to class. For about 15 minutes after leaving the cafe, my brain was caught in a state of disillusion, and for that period of time I felt as if I was still within the game, and if I had a pistol at that very moment I would have shot pedestrians for entertainment.

how old were you when this you played that game?

I think that if you were any older than 16 you would have know that by law its not right to just shoot paople and so even if you felt you would you probably wouldn't

Ill just like to point out that adrenaline has minimal effects after the initial rush after the surprise has passed your body and mind returns to normal while traces still remain in the body but it doesn't cloud your mind or create a sense of panic.

Constant panic is NOT a effect of adrenaline but of a experience and your minds view of it. Now when i first played DOOM yes i got surprised and released adrenaline and BOOM clicked a button but after that back to normal. When i finished playing i wasn't paranoid as i wasn't scared of the game. Adrenaline just prepares you for surprises, A fight or flight reflex.

The real problem is the person behind the controller not the game itself.

If the mind cant establish fantasy from reality that's not the games fault its the parents of the child or the disabilities fault if the child is *bleep* so to speak.

Sometimes the person is just plain evil and what would you expect them to have in there room Pink fluffy bunnys?

The biggest argument against games is FLAWED beyond a doubt considering in the days before entertainment there was still murder,bullying and all the other evils and studys have never proven that videogames caused anything because they ignored the childs background and there is too many variables to consider.

Kids can be taught right from wrong gamma from a young age 5-6 by punishment. Naughty corner ect. I may not of known that stealing is wrong by law but at least by my parents and at a young age there god.

ALSO a interesting fact. FPS games can SAVE lives. Studies have confirmed that surgeons who play games are more skilled than those without as group. (Were not comparing individuals.)

Ill say that the second argument is awesome but the first it is obviously fake. Its doctored to make it funny even addicts dont do half the stuff he did. It takes a strong suspension of belief to say thats real.

But i will take your point on making light on a arguement.

Stupid people will always be stupid. If it's not videogames, it's something else. If some kid is stupid enough to kill his parents because of videogames, what if you took the videogames out of the equation? The kid is still nuts, he's probably going to commit a crime because of a different reason, like movies, books, or whatever else.
