Well, what it would do, in theory, is give more of a community feeling. Members in the same party might do more to support each other in debates. 	I disagree, i'm currently the only one on my side of the debate in the restriction of children thread and i don't feel weak or being beaten down at all, nor do i think that others feel that way. One looks weak when they fail to support their argument, not when they are in the minority.

	ohh I've had another idea for a kinda game. Anyone seen the show on DAVE called argumental. two teams of comedians/actors have to argue for or against a certain topic, they get told if they have to argue for or against the topic, and the audience chooses who put up the best/most persuasive argument. for Example Rome would say, Women make the best drive, blue team argue for the statement , red team argue against it. each team takes it's turn to make their points. .......... and huh I thought I really had something with the teaching idea guess not. -------------------

	It may be fun from a politicians point of view, Rome. But I have to agree with Byz. 	A battle of the parties thread would be fun. Start out with Reps vs. Dems, then move to Reps. vs. Libertarians or something. I'll have a lot of fun in whichever one involves Libertarians. 	I'm think we should put the political parties idea on hold for a while. Let's go back to the teaching and training aspect, because I like what it could be. Now should teachers of various fields be independent from people who train new members. Should they be integrated. Give reasons. -------------------

	If we did the teaching/training I could be useful from a medical/anatomy and physiology perspective, as I've been through a good portion of nursing school (LPN) and am currently working toward paramedic. I'm good enough at what I do to help teach as a lab aide and help write parts of an online EMT curriculum that's in the works right now anyway. If we did a teaching/training aspect, would it be all hard science or could we venture into the realms of philosophy, religion, and stuff that's a bit easier to discuss and debate? I think it'd be fun to have something like that with philosophy, religion, politics, and some things like that anyway. I think a while back we had a thread(s) with staged debates on particular topics. We were given a list of topics, and interested parties could PM stating which stance they took on the issues they were interested, and they were debated one at a time. I don't remember how that worked out, or exactly how it was judged, but it was a good concept though I'm sure at least one person's brought that up by now.

One way to liven up the forum a little would be to allow more threads. Not every thread needs to hold the answer of the universe. Back in the day this forum had a lot more speculative discussion about sort of random intellectual things, now it's pretty much the religion thread, the abortion thread, the dating thread, etc. When you have only general threads, a lot of potentially good discussion gets drowned out. For example, the "women pastors" topic got ignored after 5 seconds because the only replies were "that's what you should expect with religion rollyeyes" and then everybody moved on back to "Does God exist or not". I don't see why fringe discussion should not be allowed to have their own topics. -------------------
