If the main reason for having scissors was freedom it'd be a pretty strange world. Would you agree that the greater criminal ownership of guns that goes with a legal market for guns endangers people's personal safety and do you also agree that as does the risk of accidental injuries resulting from private ownership? Moving on, do you think violent crime is discouraged by private citizens owning guns bearing in mind guns play a large role in facilitating them? In other words, there's a reason why the gun is the weapon of choice for murderers in the US.

	Your premises are all wrong. And if you don't think I'm answering your questions, you're not thinking hard enough. Something should not be legal based upon its uses. Something should not be legal based on anything. SOMETHINGS don't harm people. 	What you got wrong is that you think objects should be illegal, based on their potential for abuse. Objects do not harm anyone. People using them to harm others is what should be illegal. It makes it easier for me if I can read your answers with my eyes rather than imagine what you might have said. So, again a Hyperbole. You're fine with Nuclear Weapons or maybe a Death Star. I'm not talking about their potential for abuse I'm saying if you're endorsing something based on its capacity to make a person safer it'd be a good idea to check whether that's a correct arguement i.e. in practice does it make make them less safe. Just out of interest do you think guns make people safer?

	I don't care if guns make people safer. That's not the issue at hand. 	But you can't restrict actions, because you're so adamantly defending your 'right' to behave as you see fit. I can only surmise there are other people who think like you do (as painful a thought as it is), and they would feel equally pained if I were to tell them "thou shalt not blow up planets". Your solution doesn't work, and you're the clear example. Why not take away the enabler? You 'still' haven't answered my question too. :S

	No, I don't think there's a balancing act to be made. No, taking away the enabler does nothing except remove the freedom of possessing the enabler. Banning actions is right, banning objects is wrong. I'm probably only going to repeat myself for one more post. 	FH, why not address my argument instead of repeating yourself? You might find it a little more challenging. Edit: Maybe explain 'why'? Or, I don't know, use some form of logic to back it up? An analogy? Something?
