Eh, she isn't that bad looking to be honest.

Honestly I never really thought McCain would be like Bush, even now. I definitely prefer the McCain of old that could actually live up to the maverick nickname he has, but not this one. Still, McCain's much better than Bush at well, just about everything. Especially his policies here at home.

I still like Obama better, but not by a whole lot at this point. I'm really disappointed in the guy to be honest. I could care less if he was up fifteen points or in the position he is right now. I just don't like the way he's running his campaign right now. He could be doing so much more than responding to this jib-jab political b.s. I don't want to hear what he thinks about what other people think about him, I want to just hear what he thinks about the United States and the world in general... and I don't care that his VP is Joe Biden. Can we just get back to *bleep*ing the issues and whatnot at hand?

Either way, anything's better than Bush.

QFT. The experience issue is mostly a scare tactic used by the Repiblicans in this election. Not that the Democrats wouldn't use it as well if the situation was reversed, but still.

I honestly doubt Obama will want to indulge himself in any new conflicts as President. He must clean up the mess in the Middle East as his priority, and that will take most, if not all of the first term if elected. No matter what, both McCain and Obama will have to fix it and it will not be an overnight thing.

To the people who think Palin still has valid experience...news flash. Palin's experience of overseeing a few eskimos and polar bears cannot be applied to the rest of the country. Alaska is near the bottom in terms of population and the state has no major metropolis (Chicago, New York, L.A.) like the lower 48. Her experience in Alaska is good only for Alaska. The state is unique and different from the rest of the country.

Oh, a newsbit which will be discussed. Palin says daughter is pregnant.

My thoughts: Keep it out of the election. We're electing Palin, not her daughter, and this is from an Obama supporter.

I think it's 35 for President, 30 for Senate, and 25 for Congress.

That's what I was taught in school, anyway.

I think his subtle approach appeals to those in the Middle East a hell of a lot better than McCain wanting to chase every terrorist to the gates of Hell.

Eh besides, it's not like we're electing a dictator here where the dude is going to make all the decisions on his own and such. Let's be realistic here.

Then why do people have such a problem with McCain?

We have a democratic majority Congress right now, and a fairly balanced Supreme Court- anything McCain does that they disagree with is going to be shot down relatively quickly and efficiently.

Hating Bush isn't a real solid point to vote against McCain, but unfortunately many people are taking that stance.

That's another reason why Palin was a good choice- not only did she take on corruption within the Republican party, but she is also very scarcely, if at all, affiliated with Washington and the central administration.

She is refreshing, and quite the breath of fresh air in this whole '08 Election.
