Also there is the problem of over crowding in houses, my next door neighbour, (who is an immigrant by the way) is letting out the house, to a family per room, this is wrong, he doesn't work and we have also suspected that he claims benefits.

But that doesnt bother me, likelihood is that thats not true. It annoys me when they walk around speaking in their language in OUR country.

The Political correctness comment I agree with whole heartedly. We should still be able to express our British values and I think that the government needs to reverse their moves towards this state of muted British culture in favour of other ones.

I kind of agree with your comments about language, but it seems altogethor rather elitist, only admitting those who have been taught English.

Many English people move to foreign places expecting others to speak English, look at retiring couples going to France and other countries without a dot of French language in their vocabulary. These people expect to go and not recieve any bad treatment for their inability to communicate in the vernacular.

It should be just the same for those coming into the country to be able to do so without having the pressure of immediately adopting the language.

Yes, maybe he shouldnt be working in a job with that much 'exposure' to the public if he can't fully speak the language, but I suppose he is at least, trying to earn a decent and legitimate living, which is good.

How will it ruin our economy letting immigrants in the country? The majority of them work for a living so I fail to see how you can make that claim. A few will claim benefits, thats inevitable. But so do many 'white people'. My mother's side of the family (my mother not included) are all pretty much benefit cheats. They claim illness benefits and don't work at all, instead living off state handouts. And every single one of them are 'White British'.
If immigrants and White British people are claiming from the government unnecessarily, and if non-"white British" people make up only 15% of the population, it seems very unfair to place an endangered economy soley on them.
And it's all very easy to say the problem in their home country should be solved, but thats very hard to do. Corrupt and elitist governments, widespread poverty and unfair wages are hard to reverse. An escape to Britain offers them quality of life, it would be wrong to deny them a comfortable life on grounds of politics way above their heads. They just want to live out their lives in comfort, and if this country has the means to offer it them, it should.

And the over crowding problem is very restricted and doesnt happen much. When it does happen however,it should be dealt with. I agree with you on that.

Too many people are of the "bloody immigrants" stance. Illegals should be sent back with a good kick up the arse if you ask me, but legal immigrants are extremely hard working, willing to do what they are told, and fill gaps that too many people think that they are above. People who are on the dole are only there because they are only too goddamn lazy to get themselves a job. These people then claim that the hundred odd pounds they get a week for sitting around, stagnating, is a bad thing, and were it not only for "those bloody immigrants" they could get a job.

The whole "We can't have Christmas plays because it is not politically correct" stuff is complete crap, and seriously makes my blood boil. If they come to our country, they don't have to necessarily embrace our cultures with open arms. But why should we lose the right to celebrate our own holidays. That is purely bullshit.

However, in terms of the language thing, there are simply too many people that claim if they come to our country they should learn our language. If you went to another country with your family, and did not speak a word of their language, you would have to learn it. So the second you step off the plane, with every intention of embracing their cultures and learning their language, someone discriminates against you because you are an ignorant immigrant who doesn't want to learn their language. Fair? Of course not. So you turn to your family and say to them in your own tongue,
"Oh well, I'm sure these nice people will accept us once we learn their wonderful language"
But again you are discriminated against for speaking to your family in the only language that you know. Once again, this isn't fair. So the next time you think "What a dirty immigrant" stop and consider how hard English is learn, and how hard they must be trying to learn it.

I must implore that I myself too often see someone with a headscarf and think to myself "dirty Arab" This is racist and stupid, yet it is unfortunately bred into people and is a difficult thing to shake off.

On the subject of job interviews, I despise the thought of the best candidate not getting the job because they are white British and the other applicants were a cripple, a woman and an immigrant. I think that the best person for the job should be the person who gets the job. Government policy on how many foreign, female and other minorities a business must employ is ridiculous.

I can and will tolerate other peoples religions and beliefs to the best of my ability, but I think that far too often religion is winning against practically. What right does a Muslim have to come to our country, work hard and earn a living? Every right. What right does a Muslim have to come to our hospitals and demand a checkup without the removal of their headscarf, don't get me started.

Oh, and by the way, my teddy bear's name is Jesus, and no one can make me change that.

Thats a fair point which ofcourse I did consider, And my arguement is biased ofcourse it is, But it really annoys me, mostly everyone knows some english anyway but those that come here and not bother to try and learn the language..

How do you know that they dont bother, Do you know them personally. Maybe because their working such long shifts they dont have time to take lesson, thought of that?

Although, I do agree that we should not have to stop celebrating stuff for them. Im asian and I think its bull****. Most people are ok with it but its just the goverment trying to be "politically" Correct. Now sorry if this sounds racist, but its mainly muslims that have a problem with settling into british culture.

What really pisses my off is because im asian people think im muslim, and so treat me like one. Just like people call indians the "P" word, I mean were not even from pakistan, so how is that logical. I mean I like christmas and stuff, I like british culture and yet people think im weird and think that I dont like british culture because of the way I look.
