Almost every Spin-off we've had has also been at least high tier if not Top Tier (but only 4HoL has reached God Tier), and Type-0 looks god tier, so yeah, I DISAGREE. But respect your opinion.

You do realize that the last two games are in the bottom tier, if we are talking about the main series it seems like you agree with me.

Still sounding more like you are agreeing with me then not, since you basically said it would be okay if it wasn't so linear, but guess what it is that makes it less then okay which is bad.

That doesn't mean linear. I could spend all the time in the world playing Oblivion without completing it, and traveling the map doing whatever I want. Yes it isn't exactly 'nonlinear', but no game will ever be 'nonlinear' if you're defining it by that. FFXIII was basically Corridor RPG: The Game.

Oblivion wasn't even that great (didnt age well) but playing it in 2006 would blow your *bleep*ing mind. All those choices, the NPCs, everything. I'm not a huge fan of Bethesda and their fanbase/business practices but the exploration and immersion you get in their games is unmatched.

If a game is taking the 'linear' approach of FFXIII, it should approach it like Deus Ex and give you branching paths and different ways to approach a situation.

Shows why you needed to play XIII for more than a few hours. Chapter 11, 12 and the last half of 13 had non linear aspects

Yeah. But them 3 Chapters probably make up 50% of the game, and will take up 75% of your time if going for 100%
