The characters frequently travel through time to obtain allies, gather equipment, and learn information to help them in their quest. The party also gains access to the End of Time (represented as year ∞), which serves as a hub to travel back to other time periods. The party eventually acquires a time-machine vehicle known as the Wings of Time, nicknamed the Epoch. The vehicle is capable of time travel between any time period without first having to travel to the End of Time. Chrono Trigger is a game I loved. It's one of the first games that defined the JRPG franchise, and is Square's first batch of lovable characters. If you own a SNES, Playstation, or DS, you must pick up this game. It's an instant classic to the JRPG lover. It's a flawless game, and hard to put down.

	Sorry for the double post, but this has nothing to do with the game. I didn't group this with Chrono Cross because this game alone has a giant fan base, and is so vast that there isn't enough pages in the world to discuss them both together.

It's happening anyway. I liked Chrono Trigger, but didn't see why it was such a huge deal. I loved Chrono Cross infinitely more. That story just blew me away. I forget the specifics, but when you go into that tame-warped ocean and fight the guy with the safari hat == everything about that part of the game just blew my mind. ------------------- AND DAUNTLESS "Are you awake?"

	Chrono Trigger is amazing, it was one of the first RPGs I ever played on the SNES. The time element was so well done, it added another dimension to the game. I still need to try out Chrono Cross. I don't know much about it though, is it a direct sequel? ------------------- last.fm

	I bleeping love Chrono Trigger. My first RPG it set the base line of RPGs in my opinion. There is just a magical feel to it, something that I can't even begin to describe. Chrono Cross was pretty fun, with the massive amount of characters you can get. There are some similarities, and the cast of Chrono Trigger is mentioned in it, Zeta, but its not exactly a direct sequel. Well worth playing. 	OMG Chrono Trigger is an all time favorite RPG of mine! Heck, I still play it and continue to do so as time passes! The music, characters, map and the timelines are just really, the best there is. Not being too hype but its the truth. going through each characters storyline always takes me back to the time when I first played the game? Does anyone remember the rumor that Schala was a possible character? Haha, good times ^-^.

	Chrono Trigger is good, but god is it overrated. I liked Cross more.

That being said, it is VERY clear that they had Chrono Cross all planned out when they made Chrono Trigger. In fact, if you play Chrono Trigger after Chrono Cross you'll notice a lot Easter Eggs from Cross in Trigger -- just that they're not Easter Eggs because Trigger came out first.... It's hard to explain, but all I know is that Chrono Cross thoroughly impressed me in the story department. It's a very smart idea with a great battle system to boot. Love the characters. I fall for rumors too easily like Mew by the pick up truck in Pokemon Red and Blue... Crono Cross was awesome but Trigger is PERFECTION! I still play it to this day as well as FF6. I love it so much I have bought the game on at least 6 different occasions. On the SNES, PSX, then as a Greatest Hit later, on the GBA twice, and Wii download. That game will never get old. 	This game is next on my list. Can it please come out on PSN already? I played for 10 minutes on an emulator to get a glimpse of it and it looks awesome. The music had already reeled me in. Can't wait! -------------------

	This game must have one of the greatest OST's of all time! Sometimes I'd just idle in certain areas to hear the glorious music loop. Of course the game itself was extremely innovative for its time, and having played it just a few months ago, I found many little touches throughout it that made the experience completely relevant and engaging even in today's vast world of gaming.
