Wow this is unexpected and awesome news. I would like to know exactly what console it is on but I am guessing it will be a ds title. Hopefully there will be some more news soon.

Yeah, the Nintendo DS seems the most vialble platform.

Anime cutscenes would go well with the ds platform.
I hope they do not try and change much from the original. I did not play the gba games so i do not know how they played but I think that if kept close to it's roots it will be an awesome game. ------------------- The Classic Gamer's Society. Please don't reuse the "OMG ______ IS A SINISTRAL?!" twist again, Taito. It wasn't effective the second time around.

Hmm according to the latest news at Lufia World [ http://www.lufiaworld.com/ ], it's a remake of Lufia II.
Which isn't bad :'D I've always wanted a more, er, legal way to play Lufia XD;; It's in an Action RPG form, though, huh. edit: also, it's for the DS XD edit: and there are scans too. ^^ ------------------- | |

I can't load the site, Damn this slow internet
 Lufia 2 remade in action rpg style. Not sure if this is good news or bad news. A remake of lufia 2 is awesome but how can you make lufia into an action rpg? Loaded the site =) 3d graphic and voice acting......I'm getting scared now. I really ope they don't screw this up. Feb 2010 japanese release. So Selen will now be called Selena? That's interesting. ;D I wonder if that means that the character restrictions on name lengths will be lengthened for the other characters too?

If you compare it to FFIII and IV DS, it's really more of a "recreation" than a "remake" - that is, they're re-writing things here and there, etc... maybe adding a few things and such. Maxim's new design put me off for a while, but after reading that it's more of a recreation than a remake, it makes a bit more sense. ^^; Guy's new design makes me cry, though. ;-; You can see him in the screenshots. ------------------- | |

Yeah, making it an action RPG as opposed to what it traditionally is, is kind of a dead give away that it's not a direct remake.
Haha~! Guy looks like a beefy douche! But I do like Maxim's design. I think this game looks really good. I mean look at the scale for some of the boss battles. The characters are tiny in comparison to some of those enemies! Makes things proportionate. I am interested to see how all the villages and towns will be redesigned and will look. Will they all bear their own different themes? I think this would have to be one of the games I am most looking foreward to! ;D ------------------- | |
