The Complete History of the Perfect Dark 2 Forum

Well, for my 2000th post under this account, I decided it was time to tell this forum's story, all of it's acheivements, with dates to as much as i could get. Warning, this'll be a long post.

September 16th 2001: The forum is officially opened by Sonic Flash, who posted the first message, titled "I didn't know this exisited!" Whether or not he noticed the spelling error, he had opened the forum for business. Only a minute later, he was joined by his friend Akira_Ex, who announced he wasn't gonna come here a lot. Soon they were joined by Buba Jr and Unrivaled. They talked for a few weeks, then left the forum, and it became quiet.

January 21st 2002: golden sun02 signs up to neoseeker, naming himself after the GBA hit Golden Sun.

March 3rd 2002: A new member joined the neoseeker community, and called himself kaneda. Little did he know he would become the PD2 forum's top poster.

April 15th 2002: After getting in a fight in another forum, Sum Guy signs up.

In early May, the threads started by these members were revived by _RawisWar_. This in turn attracted the attention of staticfire, the section mod of GC action, and a wandering member, namely kaneda.

June 1st 2002: The forums local nut-job signed up today. Yes KoRnNeRd, I'm talking about you. But we wouldn't have him any other way. It'd take all the fun away from enraging him.

June 4th 2002: Kaneda creates a thread entitled "Sad…" as a place for his rant about how quiet the forum was. Ironically, this was the thread that turned the forum around. It has had two continuations, covered sixty pages worth of posts, covered half the topics under the sun, and is still going strong.

July 6th 2002: Golden sun02 first visits the Perfect Dark forum.

July 12th: Link_2000 comes to the forum.

June 16th 2002: KoRnNeRd makes his first post in the PD2 forum... and is immediatly attacked by a guest for it.

August 4th 2002: Sum Guy, fed up with the confusion his name caused him and unwilling to pay $10 for a name change, created a new account, which he named Octarine Skye.

August 21st 2002: Eaglefire6 joins neoseeker, the baby of the PD2 forum.

September 20th 2002: Nintendo destroys itself in the eyes of fans as they sell the ace developers Rare, who were making PD2. The Gc version is canned.

October 13th: KoRnNeRd bags the five thousandth post in the forum… a few weeks AFTER the game was cancelled.

October 16th 2002: Octarine Skye (finally) gets the modship of this place. His modship is first for Neoseeker. First mod to be promoted to a game forum after the game has been cancelled. Many members pay surprise visits to the forum to see whether he deserved it or not.

November 10th 2002: JJasser, on his first visit to the forum, claims the 6000th post!

December 15th 2002: The only ban ever issued in this forum was issued to bobbyblue999.

December 16th 2002, 5:00PM GMT: The forum is officially closed forever, leaving only a lasting memory as one of the most enjoyable forums in Neoseekers history. To anyone reading this, don't forget us. Take time to read through some of the threads here. You'll realise how close the members of this forum were. If that's all you realise, we did a good job.

This is the final edit, but if I missed anything, just tell me.

So, that's the complete history of the Perfect Dark 2 forum for GCN. It won't be revised again, as nothing will ever happen here again. If anything is wrong i'll edit it right, so it won't stay that way for long. Kudos to Link_2000 for the idea.
