Hey, I was looking through my old pics a few days ago, and found one of Tricky. Tricky was a boss in Diddy Kong racing, and he was a dinosaur. He looked very much like Tricky from this game, only smaller. Diddy Kong Racing released in 1997, and I doubt that whn RARE left Nintendo, they gave them Tricky as well, being an obscure character and all. Though I think he might've been copied. What do you think? I'll try to get a pic of him up soon.

Dude, Tricky in DKR was big compared to Tricky from SFA.

Anyway, I don't believe it was "stolen," because if Star Fox had been a Rare franchise then there wouldn't have been a SFA on GCN in the first place.

I haven't play DKR in a while, and in Star Fox Assault, he looks bigger than Tricky from DKR.

I haven't played DKR but did the Tricky in DKR have a similar look to Tricky's mum and dad in SFA, if they do you can see what they based Tricky and his family of dinosaurs on, can't you.

he isnt copyed cuase its from the same makers so therefor they can never copy there own games

You mean both games were made by rare? What I think people are trying to say is Tricky is an unoriginal character.

Diddy Kong is a Nintendo character. Tricky is a Nintendo character. Do the math. No one was stolen, Nintendo just worked with Rare on DKC and SFA, but still had the rights to the characters. Tricky in DKR was probably a preview. You know Nintendo and their tie-ins.

Tricky was created and owned by Rare. When Rare left, Nintendo got to keep Tricky because he was a Star Fox character, and SF is a Nintendo property.
In case you didn't know, DKR and SFAdventures were both created by Rare.

Both games are from nintendo so it's not copying they're allowed to make the characters resemble.

Let me get this straight. Rare put Tricky into Diddy Kong Racing. Because Tricky is a Star Fox character, Nintendo kept him when Rare stopped working with them (or something along those lines).
