Nikki thought about what Karlos had said earlier. He had told Ann she had changed. But had she really? Karlos just assumed that becuause she had come to Mineral Town she had changed? He mustnt know why she came here in the first place. Which meant he didnt know about the stolen microchip hidden under the floorboards. Nope, she hadnt changed one bit. She still got a thrill when she took something that wasnt hers, and bet all kinds of security. She didnt think she could give that up. Though the nearly being killed made a pretty convincing arguement.

Nikki sighed and sat up. There was no use dwelling on it. She was just going to have to do her best here until she was allowed back home. If you could call it a home. A small flat in the city with some furniture wasnt really her idea of a home. Home had been in Forget-me-Not Valley, with her mother and brother. But that hadnt worked out to good either.

She suddenly felt something fall on her head. She looked up just in time to recieve a faceful of rain. She cursed and scuffled back to the edge of the roof, then cursed again. There was Ann, cleaning her room and singing cheerfully. Why was that girl always getting in the way?! She couldnt go through the window with Ann there. She graoned loudly. Now she was going to have to sit in the rain and wait for Ann to leave!

'Uh Ann? Can I please ask you something?'

Nikki looked into the room to see her brother had walked in! She felt uncomfortable being so near him, even though she knew he couldnt see her.

'Of course! You can ask me anything Cliff!' Ann replied with a big smile. Cliff hesitantly smiled back. Nikki could see he was still us shy and withdrawn as ever.

'Well ah... you see...'

Spit it out bro! Nikki thought in annoyance. She wiped some rain out of her eyes while Cliff said, 'you see I would like to give Manna and Duke something for all the kindness they've shown me... For giving me a job at the winery and looking after me. But I dont know what. Can you think of anything I can give them?'

'Sure! Come with me and we'll start brainstorming!' Ann said, and they left the room together. Nikki sighed in relief and swung through the window, shaking her head like a dog. Then she grabbed one of the fresh towels off the dresser and patted herself down.

'So Cliff has gotten himself a job here,' Nikki mused. 'And gotten himslef another family.'

She couldnt help but feel resentful. He had just left and forgotten about his own family. He never wrote or called, even when their mother died. What did she care. She didnt him. She hated him.

Nikki threw the towel on the floor and pulled back her bed sheets angrily. Sleep was what she needed. Sleep to get over the stress of this entire stupid day. She sank into the matress, suddenly feeling extremly tired. A couple of minutes later she succumbed to sleep.

"Sal?"Karlos cried back in a shaky tone. Karlos didn't want to start any violence, so he instantly dashed off. First he outran them, then jumped onto the thin cord. He fell down the hole it made and landed below the area.

"You are amazing, Whisp" Elli said as Whisp finished telling her about his past as a Agency Member.
"Thank you, Elli. So are you" he said.
She blushed and sighed deeply. He noticed this and asked her "Elli, what is it?"
She replied "Whisp, I love you. I don't know why, but I love you".
They finished eating in silence and Whisp walked Elli home. He then sid goodnight to her, walked back to his farm that he shared with Emily and fell into bed. He had a lot to think about.

Well, things are going well for Karlos, arent they?

Spring 6th, Saturday, Year 1

Gray had kindly taken Rain home, along with Storm. She had stumbled along the street, the only thing stopping her from falling over being Gray's steadying arm. They were soaked through by the time they got back to Rain's home, which she started apologizing for profusely.

'You cant help if it's raining, even though it is your name,' he joked, and she laughed as well.

'Thanks so much Gray, I dont know where I would be without you,' she said. Gray blushed and said, 'no problem,' then he left.

Rain looked through the window of her house. Grandma had taken the bed while Grandpa was snoring on the couch. The dogs slept at Grandma's feet, cuddled up cutely. She didnt want to wake them. And she certainly didnt want them to see her drunk.

She took Storm over to the stable. It was nice and dry, and she collected some towels from the shelf. She wiped down Storm first and said,' Im sorry boy, I completely forgot about you out there all alone in the rain. Can you forgive me?'
Storm nickered and rubbed his nose against her arm. 'You're forgiven,' he seemed to be saying. Rain gave him his favourite treat, a sugar cube, for good measure, whixh he gobbled down greedily. After making sure he was completely dry and washing down his saddle and briddle, Rain dried herself up.

'Can I sleep here tonight?' she asked Storm. He nudged her towards the straw and she hugged him thankfully. He always seemed to understand what she was feeling.

Rain settled into the straw and groaned at the painful headache she had. She couldnt wait till morning. It would be ten times worse then.

It wasnt long until she had fallen asleep, looking as peaceful as could be.

When Karlos landed below, he heard footsteps and gunshots from above his head.
Phew...they hadn't noticed the passageway...
After waiting for a few more minutes, he decided to crawl back up and run to a safer spot. But as he crawled onto the higher land, his eyes met a distant pair of eyes. Darien's.
Karlos took one glance at him then fainted.

Whisp dreamt. He was walking down a road paved with what seemed like solid gold. His scar was still troubling him, he was wondering if it was ever going to heal, but thought it would probably never. There was a rustle of wings and a hideous creature flew at him. He unsheathed one of his daggers from it's sheath on his arm and threw it. It embedded itself up to the hilt in the creature's arm, killing it instantly. The creature fell to the floor and Whisp retrieved his dagger. He then pulled out a vial of acid from his pocket and sprinkled it over the body of the creature, melting it.

I think we should. Im actually surprised at how much we have done on this one day

Plus Whisp's dreams are disturbing...

Whisp woke up and looked around. His little sister was asleep across the room from him. The T.V. was blaring, someone had already turned it on. "How can she sleep with that thing on?" Whisp asked himself.
He crossed to the TV and switched it off, then walked outside.

Karin woke up. She look about her, at the floorboards coated with dust, at the window framed with dust, at the ornaments thick with cobwebs and dust, nearly everything was dust. That's the first thing she's dealing with, DUST.

She got up and changed into her clothes. She tied her hair back with the string in her pocket, and she saw that Moon Shadow wasn't about. Must be out hunting, she thought. She was in no mood for breakfast.

Two and a half hours later she was standing, with an old broom she found in the cupboard in one hand and a cleaning rag in the other, in the center of the room. It was all cleared, the dust. It did take long though.

She went outside, and everywhere she got started too. Everything was in such conditions of layers of dust that it took about another several hours later. It took quite long, and more....

I feel sorry for Karlos...

7TH sPRING 1ST yEAR

Karlos woke up the next morning in a strange place. As his vision came back, he looke around him. His heart skipped a beat when he saw the sign on the room door.
It read: XVI
Karlos sat there for a moment when he remembered those digits. It went back to his days at the agency. Each person was given a code. That numeral was their agent number and their room number. This was Karlos' room. He was in the Building.
Karlos almost fainted from shock as the door suddenly swung open as three half-masked faces came walking in. Before Karlos knew what they were going to do, he felt a sharp sting in his arm.

Name: Nicholai Kayo West

Age: 17

Birthday: Winter 29th

Gender: Female

Appearance: Nicholai - She has blue eyes and short brunette hair [Yes I do realise it's pink in the photo but it's not meant to be - it's the closest thing I could find.]. Nicholai is quite tall for her age but is abnormally thin. Despite being thin she is quite strong. She is very light on her feet and flexible. She wears only one biking glove and it's on her left hand and she has a tattoo on her right arm - it's the Chinese symbol for truth. She wears her 'cutomised' cargo pants, her red hooded top, and sneakers. She always carries a red shoulder bag around with her and her headphones are either around her neck or in her ears.

Personality: Nicholai is your average independent teenage rebel – staying out late, playing pranks, and breaking rules. Nicholai is only distant and quiet when she is drawing, reading, listening to music or concentrating hard on something. Nicholai is never genuinely happy or sad she’s always usually somewhere in between. She is very self-confident and social so she is not afraid of meeting new people. It’s exceedingly hard to make her upset as she isn’t sensitive and will often have a come back to anything nasty or rude you have to say to her. Nothing makes her jealous as jealousy is triggered by want but Nicholai doesn’t want anything. Over the years Nicholai has found it impossible to lie to anyone. She has, over the years, over come any fear she has come face to face with and would be eager to do it to any fear that arises in the future.

History: Nicholai had been abandoned in a cardboard box on the doorstep of a house as a baby. The family living there at the time already had two daughters of their own and so they sent Nicholai to a orphanage. Despite Nicholai and Kayo being male names they were written on the side of the box she was found in and so that is what the orphanage named her. Nicholai had good grades but at school she broke the rules and caused trouble on a regular basis. At the orphanage she would constantly sit in a doorway listening to music or reading a book and always seemed distant from every other kid there. When she turned 12 she was finally adopted by a caring couple and got her surname “West”. Moving further into the city things gradually got worse as Nicholai’s grades slipped, she broke rules more often, and didn’t come home when she was told to. Instead Nicholai skipped school and stayed out until early hours of the morning with her first friend, Andrew. On Nicholai's 17th birthday the caring couple that had adopted her got fed up of her coming home late and threatened to take her back to the orphanage. Nicholai didn’t want to go back, she enjoyed her freedom and at the orphanage she knew she wouldn’t get that, so she ran away leaving them and Andrew behind.

Other: Nicholai only draws landscapes and animals as she thinks that her drawings of people aren’t very good. Her favourite times of the day are early morning and late evening.

After shooting Karlos, Darien headed back to Mineral Town. He had some buisness that he needed to finish there. By buisness, he meant to kill Nikki. He made sure his gun was loaded, he had to do this right. This time, Whisp and Karlos couldn't, wouldn't interfere with him. "Time to do what I do best" he said to himself as he started looking for Nikki.
After a while, he saw Whisp, who glanced once at him and then went back to walking. "So, what are you doing here?" Whisp asked him.
"I'm here to finish some unfinished buisness" was the reply. Darien then walked ahead of Whisp and vanished.
With a single shrug, Whisp turned and headed to the bar. He was about to enter when he heard a single scream. He whirled instantly, and drawing a dagger from it's sheath, he race towards the sound. When he arrived where the scream he had come from, he saw Darien pointing a pistol at Nikki. "Darien, no! I can't let you do this to her!" Whisp yelled, pulling his own gun from his belt.
"You have got in my way once too many times, Whisp" Darien said slowly.
"Indeed" Whisp snapped and fired.
Darien died within a minute. Whisp then walked off, took out his cellphone and dialed the number Karlos had given him in the letter. "Karlos? It's me, Whisp. Darien is dead. It's safe to come back" he said.

Karlos woke up yet again after hearing his ringtone. The other people had gone. Karlos felt a sharp sting in his arm again and rolled up his sleeve. There was a lump there and a small dot of blood. He remembered seeing them inject him with a needle.
Karlos picked up his phone and listened to the message. After hearing of Darien leaving Mineral town, Karlos fell back onto his bed with a sigh of relief. He got up and headed for the door to leave when he instantly collapsed onto the floor. He picked himself up and went over to his secret compartment. Knowing that his legs could hardly move, he took a big bite out of one of Whisp's bro's healing buns. Karlos then lay back down on his bed and fell asleep.
