Hi everyone,
I just thought I'd take the time out to thank everyone for the continued suggestions that have always helped to shape Neoseeker.
One thing I'm noticing is that a lot of suggestions that I personally feel are quite good get lukewarm reception from others, and sometimes are even shot down because they are "not needed" or the site "works fine as it is". While it warms my heart that people feel that some features are "fine as they are" I also don't want people to think that Neoseeker is some old unchanging place unwilling to improve itself.
NeoHQ is a busy place, and I'm constantly working on lots of things, not just implementing bug fixes and suggestions, which is probably why very very few suggestions ever make it through to the site. However, this doesn't mean that I choose the changes basically on what's needed, but moreover on whether I feel the change would improve useability, or change the experience on Neo for the better.
This isn't to discourage people to speak up against suggestions (constructive disagreement is also very welcome and helps me prioritize by seeing multiple opinions about new suggestions), so please continue to support and also disagree with suggestions, just don't do so only because something works fine.
As a side note, perhaps the only types of changes we will not implement readily are those that make the site too difficult for multiple browsers to render properly or those that I feel offer only "fluff" without real substance. I'm against fancying up things just to make them fancy, all changes should have substance whether useability wise or accessibility wise, or just plain make the site better or more useful
