You mean like create a single tag that will combine a preset effect? This is possible in Namfox, but that requires a Gecko-based browser. I do think it would be a good idea for those that don't have Namfox.

We do already have heading tags though done by putting text inside some =s symbols like



Which displays like:

Heading

Which is Size 4 bold

Ideas should speak for themselves. In my humble opinion, these things are not here as a gimmick, but to add clarity to posts that need it.

I think the most ideal way of doing it, would be to have a textbox in your forum settings just like the one for editing your signature. And whatever you put in that box, automatically appears in the reply/quick reply box when the page loads so it'll already be there if you decide to start typing.

i can confirm that red replied to this before, shooting it down. im going to have to agree as well. formatting is meant to be used for presentation and organisation. not to apply it to an entire post so you could look 'unique', or stand out from others. thats why you have avvies, sigs, and CTs. personalise those instead.

i have always been in favour of an option that strips posts of such markup. NAMFox has a feature that removes bright colours, and makes them default, and makes all size 1 text larger, but that is something not in the site itself. pity, too. of course, id rather have entire posts forced to using default font, but im sure detecting and stripping entire posts like that of any such tags is more trouble than it is worth.
