forums [Suggestion] Forum Redesign Ideas and Mock-Ups

I think this is where this should go...

So with the new homepage redesign the forums should naturally follow suit to right? I wanted to take a shot at it so here's a mockup.

Bass Ultra could you try a mockup of a thread? I think the forum overview looks great bar the 'List of pinned forums' being spaced out, but I'd imagine that was just a mistake.

Would really be happy if Neoseeker went down that route of redesign, and this is coming from someone who didn't really want it to change at all.

That is a nice mockup TBH. You are missing the other links on the memberbar thingie though... such as friends, notifcations, PMs, etc...

How would it look like if there were more than just the two platforms though? There also seems to be missing forum search links, although that could be done by having a tab on the top next to the thread filters called search, with search options listeed in the top half and then found threads in the bottom half. Moderation queue, stats, other links seem to be missing. I know its only a mockup and it's intricate details but I'm a bit of a stickler for little details. Perhaps also have an issue of how to fit in the customised themes that some other forums have and the customised headers like in this forum and Loungin'.

Still, would like to see the forums look like this, and if the other details are applied sitewide, you'd have a perfectly integrated forums and site. Without some modifcations to the core site design though, there would be some of a clash between styles on the main site and the forum.

Otherwise, love it... looks very clean.

I like it as well. Not digging the avatar idea on the left side though. This might draw a lot of fire from the people that love the current forum design, but I think if you guys keep it simple and have the same format as the old forums a new forum design could potentially benefit the forum activity.

Looks pretty cool. I'm sure some people will have some better feedback to give. I prefer someone else's mock up though.

wow dude. just wow. its almost perfect. if you emphasise the site colours a little more on the alternating colours on threads in the list, i would be squealing with delight (okay, i wouldnt be, but still).

can you do a mockup for the thread view with posts?
