[Suggestion] Anti-All Caps

I would support. Another idea would maybe be figuring out how to filter when every other letter is a cap

because every word capitalized isn't annoying either..

but it does give neoseeker a bit of a bad image, even if it is in loungin. again, this is one of those suggestions that have no negative effects, but it all depends on whether or not staff can have time for it.

i dont mind either of the two ways to filter it out, and i like gex's idea as well.

you mean like in a title? if so, then there is always bold. but you do have a point. we could have this as another reason to report people, but then what?

An occasional "LUL WUT" "I CWUT UDID THER" and "OHSHIT" makes me all happy inside, I'm not gonna lie. If done at the right time, of course. Oh, and abbreviations? NASA, USA, etc. What about them?

This really isn't a big enough problem to worry about anyway. In fact, it's so small that you can deal with it on an individual basis. Caps don't make a post spam, the words themselves do. If someone is spamming they should be reprimanded for spamming, not have everyone's ability to post in all caps removed. If someone is going out of their way to be obnoxious they will find other ways. Does this mean en entire post can't be on size 4 too? Size 3 even?

And I'm going to have to disagree that almost all new users post in all caps. Occasionaly someone will make a thread title in all caps, but you can't get rid of that due to the abreviations. You drop them a PM asking them not to do it again, problem solved.

I rarely see people posting in all caps, I don't really think this is necessary. >>
